Whoa.. Now I feel like Tank is huge.. He is 3 months and weighed in at 10 pounds 12 ounces at the vet last week. She said he is healthy and right where he should be, but after reading how small others are.. Even ones that are older, Im a bit worried now! =[

Walk Walk by all means is not small! He is stayin in there norm of breed standard!! Our Breeder did very good with this litter!!!! :) But I have to agree with you Boo!!! I hope an pray breeders dont start breedin down their dogs, these guys are small enough!

Farley's parents were 26 and 24 pound corgis, so I'm expecting him to be somewhere around that weight.

I was actually surprised to see so many posts about small corgis, too. Stella's my first corgi, and from what I had read about the breed, I've been more concerned about her getting too big (overweight) that about her being small! As a puppy, she's been fine since she's growing, but I know I'll have to watch when she's an adult, since she eats like a Hoover vaccum!

I am concerned about all the obsession with small Corgis. Reputable breeders would not be intentionally breeding for smaller than breed standard Corgis. There is no such thing as a miniature purebred Corgi. Some do end up smaller than standard and still make good pets but it is not something a good breeder would shoot for. My only hope is that all of our puppies are healthy, well fed, active, and happy.

When I took Stella to the vet for her last round of shots, she was about 4 months and one week old and weighed 12.5 pounds. Here's a picture of her at 4.5 months, if you want to compare (she's probably closer to 13 pounds now)

when walk was 16 weeks he weighed 10# :) I really should weigh him again, readin all your posts has me curious now :)

Caly was the same (8lbs) when we got her at 4 months. She's 7 months and 12lbs now. I've heard of some other corgis that are about the same. Normal? I dunno, but I like it :)

wow
Pancake is 4 MONTHS and she weighs 8 LBS!! Is that normal?
I have gotten alota comments saying that she looks a lot younger, and my vet says that the pet shop might have lied about her age..

Or maybe she will juhst grow to be really small.

At 3mths Henry weighed 12lbs 10oz. I take him back in about a week for his final shots. I can't wait to see what he weighs.
