I just got Penelope from our local shelter. She's almost a year old they weren't sure because she was a stray. She's a huge sweetheart. She loves to tease my younger, male Pembroke Puck. :)

Also I'm sorry to hear about Ein. Sounds like he had a good life with you!

I'm sorry to hear about Ein. It's devastating when they leave us. You probably know this one, but it never fails to bring me comfort.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I am relieved the tri color was saved from the kill shelter! I just had gall bladder surgery the day before I lost my beloved Ein, I am sorry I couldn't help in any way!

I take comforat in knowing he must of passed peacefully and I hope you can too. Thank you for giving him what had to be the best years of his life. I share your sorrow.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ein. I had to choose to put one of my dogs down in March suddenly and unexpectedly, so I know how painful it is to lose a beloved family member like that. She was a rescued lab mix, and was in our life for about five years as well. It sounds like he went peacefully, though, and hopefully that is a small comfort to you in this hard time. Thank you for rescuing him and giving him a good life--I am sure he appreciated your love and care so, so much, especially with all that it sounds like he went through before he came into your life. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

So very sorry. Three close friends of mine have lost their elderly dogs in the past
3 weeks. It's a terrible loss. Thoughts and prayers to you.

So sorry to hear about Ein. It is so hard to lose a member of the family. I had to put my Spenser down in January and I thought I was through with the tears and then I got Cody and the first week I had him, I cried the whole time. Cody and I bonded that week with lots of cuddling. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.
