Thanks for the invite and hello to everybody! I work in the engineering field and my fiancé is a database administrator. We are very technical people and when we come home to Newton he's such a joy and stress reliever. He's a 10 month old corgi that we picked out from a breeder in Ely, Nevada. Best decision we ever made! :)

Hi All! I am a Physical Therapist and work with infants and toddlers and their families. While it is a very rewarding job, it can be very stressful too! Which is why it is wonderful to come home to the sunshine in our life . . . . our 1 1/2 year old Nellie! She is a bundle of energy and she is our first puppy. We have enjoyed raising her this past year and a half, but it has been an adventure to be sure! If one of us doesn't step up to the leadership role, she is more than happy to do it! But we have truly enjoyed her! Looking forward to reading the comments and ideas that are posted by this group.

I am a co-owner in our family business. We have Bucher who is 8 and has a bad hip and just rescued a 2 1/2 year old corgi female who is retired from breeding. She was abuse by someone! I don't think from who gave her to us, but from where she was born. Someone hit her when they feed her! We have had her since the end of December and she is doing great! She still has a way to go, but we love her! It is taking her a while to be inside all the time and she still doesn't play with many toys, but will take out a toy that doesn't have any squeekers, so we see improvement! We changed her name to Sally and it fits, she answers to it and is doing great learning her bounderies in town. We love our corgis!!

Thank you for inviting us! I am not a professional dog person but my girl is the light of my life. Miss Gwen was given to me at 7 months (she is now almost 8) because she was a wild child. She was purchased and owned by a bi-polar teenager. The dog spent the day in the crate, only out to do her business - no wonder she was wild!. after one month with me she became the well adjusted Corgi she was meant to be. She comes to work with me every day and builds Pipe Organs in Columbus, Ohio. She is a source of comfort and anxiety relief at work; she is also the greeting committee with the bosses dog. These two are also a big part of the hiring process - if the dog likes you, it is easier to get a job! Some day hopefully soon she wants a little brother!

Thanks for the invite. I'm not a professional dog person, only take rescue corgis.
However, I do home health care and hospice, and take my dogs with me sometimes on a good day. They sometimes get to meet the patients quickly
inside the house or at a distance from outside. After that the patients always want to know how the dogs are, if they're with me, when they're coming again,
etc. It makes for a great common communication and diversion to their own troubles. Of course, the cute factor plays big here. :>)

Take care, Linda, Priya & Cowboy

I voted!!

I agree Jaymi Shull...one size doesn't fit all and how we work w/each or w/our dogs is interchangeable. I tell this to puppy buyers all the time..I metaphor their kids as dogs.

Hope everyone had a Happy Valentines Day...sorry I wasn't able to get on here to send you this but here it is now.
