that's good, if anyone hears anything else positive (like that they are all rescued), post here! Always good to hear people stepping up to rescue animals  :)

This is the message I got back on the Corgis:

Hi Debbie. I don't have a lot of info right now about it. I am waiting to hear more but my breeder/kennel in Sebastopol is willing take all or most of them and the rescue folks know that so we will see what happens. I can forward your email to the golden gate corgi rescue person Laura Craig at jcvclaura@sbcglobal.net. I'll keep your email in my inbox for when I learn more too.

Will let you know if I hear anything else.

I sent her an email this morning, and she mentioned she would email me back when she gets more info. My guess is she doesn't know much more then we do right now. I will post when I find out more. Please do the same if anyone can get more info!

You are right, it is. Sounds like a breeder (possibly puppy-mill??) going out of business to me. No, I know nothing more than the email below, and that I have met Jenny at Wine Country Corgis at a get-together. If somebody wants to email her and post more info, I'm sure that'd be helpful - I don't even know how it came to her, though, so it might be more of a 'we're taking what we can get' thing just to rescue and foster them....

Patty, this is a large amount of Corgis.  Any special reason why they are being surrendered and do we know anything like age etc?

Fresno (Tulare) is having 16 to 20 Corgis (all purebreds) surrendered
next week. Probably either Tues or Wed.  The shelter they are being surrendered to has a nasty
strain of kennel cough that is getting dogs very, very sick so it would be best if the dogs were kept from
ever entering the shelter.

The goal would be to have a few Corgi rescue folks with crates at the ready to meet and pull the dogs as they are surrendered.  Is there a contact person we could connect with our contact person Janice?   With 16 to 20 dogs, I would think help would be needed from multiple Corgi rescues.  It's a lot cheaper to get the dogs out before they get sick.  the last doxie we got from them ran up some big vet bills and we almost lost him.

Hi, everyone! I just thought I'd go ahead and remind everyone that this Saturday will be the meetup at Shoreline Dog Park in Mountain View (small dog side) at 10 a.m.! Hope to see you all there!

Crystal's breeder is trying right now to breed one of her pemmie girls.  :)  Just FYI ......  msg me privately if you don't have her email address and I'll get it to you! (Her dogs have been fantastic so far...)

Thanks, Patty! I've gotten really great feedback from folks on this site (including you!) and have decided to go with my original impulse, which is to wait for a little guy. The female pup is also a singleton, which also concerned me.
