Peaches just started her first period and we aren't sure what to do!

Does anyone have any advice? How will we know when she's in heat again? We didn't get her fixed as we wanted her to experience one litter, but I must admit that we are definitely rookies at the whole gamit. I put a towel in her kennel on top of her bed and extra water to keep her hydrated. Should I buy her some panties or something????? I didn't expect this yet as she's only 9 months old. Is that normal?

If anyone is interested in adopting my 5 year old corgi sheppard, please send me a message.  I live in Auorora Co.  He just got his rabie shot, and had blood work done-everything came back negative.  He gets neutered at the end of the month.  I am going to have to move out of my condo and find a place to rent(which will probally be smaller) and alot of places don't accept pets, or charge outragous prices.  Thanks Chris
