I tell people she's Presbyterian so that's why she doesn't come to Mass. I run the campus ministry center at Emory University so our daily masses are held in a converted house with the upstairs also serving as my residence. If someone leaves the office door open she will occasionally pop her head in but she won't stay long. If were a better trainer I could get her to actually SIT/STAY but we never really got to that.
It's a bit of a long story, but it might help if I mentioned that I'm a Catholic priest. I adopted her on March 3rd (4 years ago last week!) which is the Feast of St. Katherine Drexel. Katie or Drexie just didn't work for me, but someone on my staff emailed me a list of popular Native American names (Drexel set up schools on a number of reservations during her lifetime) and Siwili was on the list...it means 'tail of the fox' and given her swoppy fox tail, it seemed like a perfect name.
Thanks for the welcome. I will do my best to keep up with this I dont email well and have no facebook. I have questions about my girly coming in heat if any one has gone through this before.
Thank you for the welcome, sorry for the much belated response back. Oh does she? What cons does she go to? I mainly cosplay as characters from Doctor Who, Rose Tyler for the most part.
Thank you for the welcome! I am currently looking for a corgi of my own, but my husband needs a little more persuading! For now, I will enjoy my parent's!
Thank you Geri and Sidney. Nice to know there are California members here( I see a lot of FL, Boston etc) Is there a way to find the California specific discussions for weather related things? Looking forward to learning a lot before I decide if I can handle a Corgi, cute as they may be!
Hi and thanks for the nice welcome note! We are in Tujunga, near the San Fernando Valley. Hoping there are some Corgi meet-ups in the area we can attend in the future! :-)
Hi Geri and Sidney! Thank you for the welcome. Bradford loves anything water related! He chases the water line at the beach - it is quite comical. It did take some time to warm him up to the water - in his teenage years he wanted nothing to do with it! Sidney is just darling - what a cute corgi smile.
Alex is doing well. He does have a difficult time but the vet prescribed Rymadyl and he has been doing ok. No need for wheels yet. He will be turning 17 this year. The vet says all his blood work is fine. He does have skin issues now and I am not fond of that. Over a year now dealing with his skin having issues and I get down on the floor and help him scratch and you can just see the pain in his eyes. I know how he feels. It comes and goes and the vet can not figure it out. She did prescribe some little red pills forget the name right now but they do the trick. I am also giving him these big horse pills for his coat. I think it is the change in the temp and his immune system starting to give way to old age. I am wondering how old will he get. He does not look like he's ready to move on to greener pastures that is for sure. He enjoys his retirement home here in Kentucky. Just takes a while to get those back legs going in the mornings.
Hi Geri & Sidney! Thank you for the welcome! Sidney is quite a handsome boy. Great pictures! The DM fundraiser is going like gangbusters. What a wonderful fundraiser Laurie from The Daily Corgi put together.
Her name is Jazmin, she is a 6 month old Pembroke.
She is currently going through the terrible 2's at the moment. She is hopefully going to be trained to be a therapy dog. I'm not really pushing her at the moment and letting her enjoy those young puppy years of life :)
Thank you for the welcome! We are with Love On A Leash as well, but not registered since he isn't a year old yet, so we only go every once and a while with the chapter leader. I can't wait till his birthday in May and we can actually start working towards getting him officially registered with Love On A Leash.
