@Jane - I'd tell you to look at my photos, but I've posted far too many. I keep meaning to delete most of them and periodically, I do. Then I add more. But you would see how light our floors, carpeting and furniture are. We truly are idiots when it comes to our house and dogs. I just love a bright, light house, yet always had a houseful of kids and corgis and a cat. The worst is that Ricky/Rafa has eaten holes in all of our stuff, not the dirt.

@Jane - We have all fabric, off-white furniture and we often have dirty corgis. We are just stupid. Ricky/Rafa, of course, loves to stick his feet in the water bowl and then run in the dirt. Somehow, mud seems to just fall off their fur, seriously. They almost never need a bath. I thought all corgis had that non-cling mud fur; and keep themselves clean like our cats. The only time I ever have to towel dry them before coming inside is when it's pouring and all mud in our back orchard. We are not neat-freaks. Wish we were.

Is there a corgi home around without sheets, towels or blankets protecting the furniture?

Addy had her own muddy offense today. I took her outside, and tried to keep her on dry ground but apparently I failed. I didn't notice, when I let her in, that her paws and her belly were a bit wet and muddy.

So what does she do? Why, she immediately runs into the bedroom and pounces on the nice, freshly washed bed! Fortunately, we keep an extra sheet over the top of the bed to keep corgi crud off the good bedding, so only this layer got muddy - but the bed wasn't made, and if she would have jumped just to her right, it would have been all over the clean sheets!

With all the rain we've had this winter and spring, our guys' feet always look like that!  Now, add our neighbor's new chickens running around the farm, and we've got the dirtiest floors in all the US!  Chickens are really cute, but not when they poop and Rollo runs through it and into the house!

Aww, Jane. Could have been way worse. I'm so happy it wasn't, esp. on your birthday or ever! Aren't you glad you missed April fool's day by one day = !
