Oh yes... SO many corgis!!   I just wish we could have had a group photo!  Of course the logistics of that would have been challenging...

I figured Vini would have done well in the limbo ;->   I didn't realize he did so well in the My Corgi Can Eat That  as well - that's great.  Both of your dogs seem like such nice boys.   Chewey didn't do nearly as well as I thought he would.   As soon as I saw the cherry tomato I figured we were done (even after eating beets and raw pasta, yuck!)   He'll eat those at home but only if I poke a hole or cut them so he can smell them ;->

Unfortunately I don't think Chewey had quite as much fun as we did...  He didn't do nearly as well with all the other dogs as he had done at the herding instinct test - I think it was just too close and he was bored and cranky.   When we first got there he did great outside (wanted to play, etc.) but after hanging out inside for a few hours he wasn't quite so tolerant.

Did you all have fun?!?! We sure did! We put Luigi in the Senior Parade because he just turned 8 (hard to believe he is considered a senior - NOOOOO not yet).  And Vini was tied for 1st place in the Limbo contest and was one of the final 5 for the My Corgi Can Eat That contest (they ran out of new foods to test them with so the last 5 were all considered winners - they ate pickles, radishes, uncooked pasta, uncooked kale, an altoid mint, etc and he didn't throw up on the way home-yeah).  I couldn't believe he did so well in that contest because he was a picky eater as a puppy and still eats his meals at a somewhat leisurely pace compared to Luigi.  Well anyways, see you all next year!

We are going. We have gone the past 2 years. Socks is still a little shy so hopefully this year she opens up.

Oh cool, that sounds fun!  We thought about it last year but then opted not to go at the last minute because of the drive... We just weren't sure it would be worth it.   Although if there's anywhere near the number of corgis there was at the herding test it would be well worth it, at least to me ;->

For the most part Chewey did pretty well with the corgis at the herding test, so hopefully he'll be ok there as well.   I think he only snarked mildly at one or two when they got too close to him when he was trying to nap (that's angelic for him ;->).    He seems to do better with strange dogs if they are closer to his size (and fixed if they are males).

Thanks for all the info (again!), hopefully we'll see you up there...

We will be there again - with Vini and Luigi.  This is probably around our 10th corgi faire we are attending.  It's a long drive for you but personally I think it's worth it (takes us about 1 1/2 hr).    Lots of contests, costume parades, shopping and a raffle, info booths, a possible nose-work demo, most of the GGPWCF breeders are there, and tons and tons of corgis, including puppies!  It's inside a building and they have chairs set up around the ring (although there are never enough).  A local group (I think it's 4H) sells BBQ burgers, hot dogs, etc.  If the weather is good there is a field out back where, although there are signs saying not to, a lot of owners let their corgis run free together and play ball, etc. Inside it's crowded but I almost never see any corgis going at each other - they seem to know they are kindred spirits.  Hope to see you there.
