Hello Tri Corgi Lovers! I am new to the whole Corgi thing, and my tri babbeh appears to be getting fluffier, and then not, and now she seems like her coloring is beginning to change. Have any of you noticed your Tri's change color over the years?

My Ofelia's only 5 months old, but her colors have changed a lot. She has a red mask now, which I love, and when she was just an itty bitty thing she had more black on her face. She's also gotten some light hairs on her tummy and ribs where they weren't there before, and some speckled red on her head. It's amazing how a dog's coat will change from puppy to adult. It's so much fun to watch.
I have had my tri-colored boy for 3 years. They have a very heavy undercoat that is often a different color than the over coat. Gizmo's is cream under a black black coat. when he sheds that cream color comes to the surface in patches and I take a shredder comb to pull it out. then he settles back into his normal look.
I know that my little boy was born pretty dark but now has a lot of "ticking" that the breeder will say will probably turn into bright red over his life time. So yes, he is changing colors. Ive even seen it in the past three weeks of his growth ^^
My little guy had a darker mask around the outside of his eyes and his forehead with he was little. Looked like a little racoon or ferret. But as he got older, he got this beautiful red head and all the dark fluff was gone up there. Now that he's been through a few shedding cycles, he's getting hairs in between his shoulders blades that start black at the root, got to red, then back to black. It looks like red wanting to come in there. So odd, but he's still a handsome little guy.
The first year there can be quite a bit of color change in your tri.The Black head tris don't seem to change as much, but the red headed tris seem to make a bigger transition with the black on the face completely disappearing and maybe just a black cap remains. It seems to me that if a tri has black inside edging on their ears...including a little black triangle at the tip they stay a black headed tri If there is no black edging on the inside of the ear and no little black triangle ( like Saberkins little guy) they turn to a red-headed tri.
Absolutely! My tri, Scout, was born with almost all black face. The breeder said he would be a red-headed tri--I don't know how she knew, but he certainly changed! His face got lighter, and by the time he was a year old, his face was almost all red and white. He has very little black on his face at all now, just on his back.
Yeah, Guinness' head used to be very black as a puppy. Now, it has black and red color.
Leo has changed a lot in color. He is now going on 10 months old. He actually has more than 3 colors. He is black, true tan, copper, white, and cream. This is all fur that is on the outside (not the undercoat). What would you call that a quint? In any case he is so beautiful to me. His head has got more copper color now that he is older, less black. So I guess he is a copper headed quint Corgi.
He has, his mask had little tan and a lot of white as a pup, not to mention a pink black spotted nose, he now has white on the end of his snout with a black nose, mostly black and tan faces, one small white line (a few hairs thats it). His body has always been mostly black though, albeit some changes behind his ears, and ears are much browner (with black highlight almost)
So the white on his face just shrank down to the nose tip?
Kipper's coat has been changing I'm anxiously awaiting to see what it looks like when he's done.
