im not sure why but i woulnt leave him with a rawhide un supervised. i did that with teddy once and he started choking:( and i wouldnt want that to happen to u
firstly, as rebecca said, ALWAYS supervise your dog chewing on any type of treat. Corgis especially can be little food hounds and scarf down too big of a chunk and choke.

Tegan will only chew things if I am not in the room, except for bully sticks, he goes CRAZY for bully sticks. Otherwise though, I have to put the treat down and then go in the other room until he begins to chew it, and then he'll continue if I come back in, but he usually won't chew on anything if I am around.... weird little quirk of his. *shrug*
Frosty is the exact opposite. He will chew and slobber everything (rawhides, bully sticks, anything gross) all over my carpet, but when I give them to him outside, he just tries to hide them and never eats them. I have to advice no give lol.
the problem is, that he will not eat them inside and with it being winter i cannot stand outside and supervise him, he just walks around the house with it in his mouth for hours until someone lets him outside. if he drops it he knows our other dog will take it. thats why i try to get him to eat it in my room or in his kennel. but i usually end up annoyed with him cuz he just sits there staring at me, like he is thinkin "let me out momma"
Have you tried other bones besides rawhides? Like the granola kind of bones, busy bones, or other soft kinds of bones? These also take awhile to eat, but don't require as much concentration. Also, being of softer material, a lot of those kinds of bones he wouldn't be able to carry around so long as they would get soft and gooey, then he'd have to eat them. I try to give Frosty all different kinds of bones so he doesn't get bored with them. Although I can't get him to eat the busy bones until they have been sitting outside in a heavy rain for 2 days. Then he thinks they are great! Another option if you can't get him to chew a rawhide might be one of these ( ok, was gonna post a link here, but can't find one lol!! will have to go get Frosty's out of the yard tomorrow to get the brand name. Anyway, its a dog treat dispenser shaped like an egg with little doors on both sides ). I got mine at Walmart for $6. You can adjust the size of the opening and put all kinds of stuff in there, then they have to roll it around to get the stuff out. I put Frosty's food in there, and he thinks he is getting some kind of awesome treat and spends at least a good 30 minutes rolling it around getting the pieces out.
