HELP!!! My 10 week old puppy won't stop grabbing my pant leg.

I will walk across my livingroom and he will grab my pant leg and try to pull me the other direction. I can't seem to get it through his head that he isn't allowed to do this. I have very sternly told him no, popped him on the nose (not too hard) and I have simply tried ignoring it. Nothing is working. I take him for regular walks and he isn't in his kennel except for at night while we are sleeping. He has lots of toys and chew sticks. We play with him on the livingroom floor while we are watching tv. He gets a ton of attention. Am I missing something? I'm clueless as to what to do next.

About your kitties... Simply put, yes, it can take a long time and sadly they may never be "friends," but you may acheive peace and tolerance. The fact that your cats are "investigating" is a positive sign. And as far as the hissing and swatting...the cats are just telling your pup who is "boss."

It will take time. It will get better. Trust me. One of my cats would spontaneously vomit whenever the puppy came too close. It took about a month for the cats to realize 1) the dog wasn't leaving and 2) the dog wasn't really a threat...just annoying. :)

As a side note, I have 2 male cats, and after 2 weeks they still don't like Mikko. We have put him in his kennel and invited the cats up to see him and they want nothing to do with him. If Mikko falls asleep on the floor then my younger cat will come up and sniff him. If Mikko wakes up while he is sniffing him then the cat will hiss, back off, and sometimes try to swat him. Is it normal for them to take this long to be friendly toward each other?
