When can we get a group together? Roger will be officially recovered from his little snip-snip on Thursday and is crazy to be outside!

I just adopted my KC on Saturday and she is so sweet! She needs a little (okay a lot!) help with training and definitely needs to be around other dogs more. Hopefully we can set up a playdate day in the area. :)

Roger is celebrating his first birthday at Auditorium Shores on Saturday, September 5th. It would be great to see other corgi's!

We need to all do a corgi meetup, I live right near the Round Rock dog park its a great place to bring your dogs! Its just been so cold and muddy lately!

Presidents day meetup in Round Rock would be fine! We could even do Monday since it should be dried up by then? Or we could do Sunday? Oh wait its MLK day this weekend not Presidents day right?

awwww I wish I could go....stupid work. Unless its changed to sunday ;P

It is so muddy out right now I am thinking we might have to wait until it dries out a bit!

Anna- I can always do a Sunday I live a mile from the RR dog park and I work during the week normally.

I can bring Toby and Payton on Sunday also.

Any word on meeting today? Tiana since your the closest would you be able to let us know if the park is still really muddy? If not I can be there any time today. Toby has never been to the park, but Payton loves the place. I'm sure it will be a great time for all.

I haven't been over there today but judging by my yard its gonna be muddy!

Maybe we can do next Sunday its suppose to be really nice next week and that will give it a chance to dry up. We can do noon?

I was headed out the door with the car already loaded and just came in to check if anyone responded. It seems I'm already committed. If nothing else Toby will get to see the place for the first time. Thanks for the response, I will expect to get dirty then.

Hello Austin Corgi lovers - Our Pocket is about 14 weeks old and will be ready to socialize with 'the public' the beginning of August. She's already showing signs of being as smart and trainable as we'd hoped, and we're eager to get her socialized. We eventually want her to be trained with livestock (have chickens now, goats in the future) as well as some further obedience training than our own. Does anyone know of any great trainers in the area? Thanks for your advice, and i hope to meet with other corgi fans this summer/fall.

We used to live part time in Austin now we are in San Antonio. Lisa still loves and misses her Austin friends!!!

I am either working on Saturdays and Sundays or I am off to Agility Trials so I never seem to be able to make it.
I won't be long now until the Corgi Meetup.

I am interested in a meetup as well!! We live near the Round Rock dog park if anyone is interested in meeting there.

Does anyone know of herding trials/events that happen nearby? Pocket begins formal obedience training this weekend, and is already showing skill with our chickens. we want her to herd goats in the future and long for a chance to hang out with other herders. any ideas?

I believe they do them at the Corgi Celebration in October.

Oh right - the corgi celebration. At over corgis in Buda. So sad that my gramma's birthday is that weekend and we'll be in new york! (not sad that it's her birthday, but that we'll miss the celebration.)

Started working corm home but having trouble getting Chula to leave me alone. Plus if I.m on the phone she won't stop barking. Very frustrating, especially when she picks out her loudest squeaky toy and goes at it nonstop. I've never had a dog before so I'm not sure what to do!!

Hello all! We're new to austin, and just starting to get used to the big city. Any tips for great corgi friendly places around town? :)

Ashleigh- Red Bud Isle is my corgis favorite place to go! It's an island on the river and the whole thing is a dog park. It has lots of access to the water for wading or swimming on the hot summer days. Also Bar 96 down town is a fun dog friendly bar

Monica- Your Corgi's remind me sooo much of mine!!! Now that the weather is nice I need to get mine out more. We live in Round Rock there is a great dog park right up the street. I haven't been to Red Bud Isle but have friends that go and love it. Is it near Zilker park?
