    Are we still meeting?
  • Ann and Izzy

Fun time at the dog park today!  Weather wasn't great but no rain while we were there. Corgis all had a great time.

  • Kara with Dasiy & Scout

We had a great time visiting too! I can't believe we were there so long and never pulled out our chairs.

Daisy says, "Oh thank goodness you are here Izzy!! I was the only girl and these rowdy boys have been running circles around me!"

When we got back in the car Scout was so excited to see Daisy and then they crashed the whole way home.

  • Shelley Garland

Hello, everyone!  We just moved (back) to Houston and this time, we have our sweet Pemmi, Emma with us!  I'd love to start coming to play dates and whatnot.  About how often do y'all have get togethers?  Also, does anyone have any insight on dog friendly things to do in Houston?

  • DeeDea & Pudge

Hey Houstonion corgi lovers... Pudge and I go to Danny Jackson every weekend, usually Sundays starting at 3pm usually leaving by 3:45pm. We hang on the big dog side (since Pudge is well over the 20 pound limit). He's usually the dirtiest dog there. Thought it'd be fun if I saw some other corgi lovers out, so there's a standing invitation if anyone wants to join us.

    Danny Jackson, Sundays 3-4pm.

  • Kathy Sanouvong

I will post pictures up tonight from the last meet! February 18th Isaac and I will not be free! I will be volunteering at the SPCA that morning until 1. :( aw! have fun guys!

  • Kara with Dasiy & Scout

We will miss Isaac! Maybe Danny Jackson will be the best central location and we can get a big turnout. I am really open to any location though. Someone mentioned a patio restaurant that was super dog friendly but I forgot what it was. Does anyone know?

  • Kathy Sanouvong

I don't know how to upload this slideshow i made in photobucket..but here goes. These are the pictures from the Corgi Meet in January at the Bill Archer Dog Park. :)

  • Kathy Sanouvong

P.S. If anyone wants any specific photo of their dogs, please let me know i will send it to you!

  • Brian & Spencer

Boneyard or Danny Jackson both sound good to me.
  • Hector

  • Kathy Sanouvong

is the meet going to be in the evening or morning?

  • JanRich

    I vote Sunday at 3pm.

  • Kara with Dasiy & Scout

I vote for Saturday at 10 because I can't make Sunday. Radar's video is pretty cute!

  • Kathy Sanouvong

I can't make saturday morning, we'll have to vote for Sunday art 3pm.

  • DeeDea & Pudge

Sadly we will not be able to make either day. :( Have fun y'all! Corgi on!

  • Ginny

    We vote Sunday
  • Hector

was the meetup place finalized for this sunday at 3pm?

  • Kara with Dasiy & Scout

Hector,  it will be NEXT Sunday, the 19th. I am trying to rearrange stuff to make it!

  • Jenny & Bentley

Sunday at 3pm works for Bentley and I as well! Looking forward to it!!

  • Ann and Izzy

Sunday will work out better for us.  Bre has a Girl Scout "thing" all day Saturday.

  • Kimberly Gandler

We will plan to be there.  Our little Taupo isn't always the most social but he loves getting out to run around.

  • Tom

Sorry guys but it seems that Zoë and I will have to miss out on the fun tomorrow. :( We will definitely be at the next meeting.

  • JanRich

Are we still meeting?  Should there be any concern about mud?

  • JanRich

We'll be there, mud or no mud!

  • Hector

    hey all,

The corgi and I will not be attending today, I will see everyone next time. Have fun in the mud!

  • Jenny & Bentley

Soo Bentley and I ended up at the wrong dog park! Oops! So sorry we didn't make it. Hope to see y'all next time!
  • Sarah C.

Had to bathe Dido, Reagan and Jackson when we got home. They had a ton of fun, as evident from the mud.
  • Brian & Spencer

Spencer and I had a blast, too bad he spent too much time trying to sniff scout, and is still completely full of energy.  He ran laps around the couch when he got home.

  • Kathy Sanouvong

here are some photos from the meet!

  • Kara with Dasiy & Scout

Thanks for sharing the pictures! I can't believe we missed Bentley. Well, I hope he had fun at the other dog park. Next month we will have to give Spencer some quality time with Scout. He was pretty hilarious! Since Sunday worked out for so many people at the last meetup how about Sunday, March 25th for next month?

  • Ann and Izzy

Are having a meet up this month?

  • Kara with Dasiy & Scout

I am up for meeting too! Ann, did you pick up Taffy?? I also saw that the Paws in the Park event is March 31st and April 1st in Pearland. I have never been but some of you said it was a blast. Here is the link: http://www.pearlandparks.com/pawsinthepark.html We are finishing up an agility trial tomorrow (3/18) in Santa Fe if anyone is out for a Sunday drive and wants to watch agility and cheer Daisy on. She has been doing great!!

  • Ann and Izzy

Hi,Kara! Yes, we got Taffy! She is so active! And tiny! How is Scout doing?  Izzy is playing with Taffy some, but gets irritated with her! We're ready for a meeting but Bre is not happy that Taffy can't come yet! Hope to see you soon!

  • Kathy Sanouvong

is there going to be a meet for sure this month, where and what time? thanks!!

  • Ann and Izzy

It sure has been quiet on here! Guess everyone is busy.  Hope we have a meet up in April.  Paws in the Park is this weekend at Independence Park in Pearland. We went last year and met some Corgis. We will probably go for a while this year. Hope to see everyone soon!

  • Kara with Dasiy & Scout

We are going to Paws in the Park too. Do you want to meet there?

  • Hector

This weekend is good for me. Sat. or sun.? What time is everyone going to show up?
  • Vicky, Jeff & Kanji

Hey guys! I'm new to the group and currently do not own a corgi (but planning in the near future). I was wondering if you guys who were going to be at Paws in the Park would be okay if I asked a few questions about raising your corgis and meeting your little guys? Thanks~

  • Kathy Sanouvong

Yes please let us know what time and day you guys are going so we can meet you guys there too!

  • Brian & Spencer

Victoria feel free to tag along, everyone here is very friendly.  Just make sure you don't leave with a corgi ;)

I got some plans this weekend, but was looking to attend Paws in the Park at some point as well.  If we can get a time, then I can shuffle things around most likely.

  • Kara with Dasiy & Scout

I hope some of you make it! We will be there around 11AM Saturday and probably stay for awhile. Daisy had her first training session herding sheep and had a BLAST! I will have to fill you in on the details when we get together.

  • DeeDea & Pudge

Where is the paws n the park event?? And where is there to do?

  • Kara with Dasiy & Scout

Paws in the Park is in Pearland at Independence Park Saturday and Sunday. http://www.pearlandparks.com/pawsinthepark.html They have vendors and booths set up. They also have a dock diving competition throughout the weekend and other demonstrations. I think there are look alike and costume contests too.

  • DeeDea & Pudge

We went with Pudge to Paws in the Park for about 45 minutes total. It was quite the schlep to get to and they don't have a dog park at the park... it's vendors, some dock diving (which was neat to see), and some demos. But there's no shade. No fenced off area for the pups. It was disappointing for us. :( But they have adoptions and rescue groups there.

  • Sarah C.

I was very disappointed too. Usually all the vendors are under the Pavilion, along with the main stage and the dockdogs is off to the side. They thought it was going to rain so they moved dock dogs inside (why? so they get less wet? so stupid!) and moved the vendors outside and moved the mainstage... oh wait, they decided to nix the main stage. So there was no contests, no working dog demos, no rescue dog show. Very annoyed. My vet was annoyed too, they paid a lot of money for their booth and then they god moved out of the main pavilion without as much as a by your leave.

We were going to stay the day but only ended up staying 2 hours because there was no place to sit that wasn't roasting and the dogs were getting overheated. I couldn't take them under the pavilion because the speakers for DockDogs were so loud they scared the puppy.

    Boo Paws in the Park

  • Vicky, Jeff & Kanji

So my husband and I went out to Paws on the Park on Saturday but I think we missed everyone. Ran into one corgi owner and talk to her for a bit. So maybe next event you guys hold I'll be able to head out and meet some of you then.

I agree the Paws in the Park event was a bit disappointing and just for us standing in the heat was a bit much. So ya not enough corgis too many pugs hahaha! That is my take on Paws in the Park. :P

  • Jo Christy

WOW!  I'm really glad I didn't go, then.  What a disappointment.  But I did meet a new Corgi owner out at Bill Archer Park and pointed her in the direction of the website.  Hope to see Mary Ann and Toby again really soon!

  • Kara with Dasiy & Scout

We are ready for a meet up! I can't believe it is already so hot!! Does anyone want to try to meet up next weekend on May 19th or 20th?? Please??? We are having corgi overload withdrawal!

  • Kelly

    i would if its the 20th!! :)
