Daisie and I met another corgi at the Gilbert Farmer's Market this morning. She was soooo excited! Was it anyone from here?

  • Carolyn and Gracie

Not us. We live in North Phoenix, but we'd love to meet Daisie! :)
  • Lisa and Baxter

Yes, my husband and I were at the farmer's market with Baxter! Daisie was so cute! She sure lit up when she saw Baxter!

  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

I'm so sick of the heat and Gromit is too.  We're both ready for a Corgi picnic when the weather cools off!
  • Carolyn and Gracie

Gracie and I are with you and Gromit, Doug.  We're sweating on our early morning walk and don't get out at night.  Next week looks even worse :(   Roll on fall weather!
  • Frank Eibl

Ditto that - Both Toby and I have taken to hibernating in reverse.  Just go out early and late for potty trips for Toby.  Don't like to wish my life away, but really wishing for mid October to get here super fast.
  • Co and Winston

Hi Everyone,  I'm new to this group.  I was just wondering if anyone here is from the Tucson/Marana area?  If so, Winston would love to meet up sometime :)

  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Hi Co, welcome to the group.  Gromit and I are in Casa Grande.  When the weather gets survivable again we'd be pleased to meet you and Winston down towards Marana for some Corgi fun.
  • Julie & Lloyd

Hi Co! We're in SE Tucson, and it'd be fun to meet up at one of the city dog parks sometime, when Lloyd is a little older and has had all his shots :)
  • Frank Eibl

Just wondering if, with the promise of cooler temps, a Corgi fun day might be in the offing at PV Park in Phoenix - say mid Oct, or so.  Hope no one melted over the hot summer.

  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Frank, Vicki at AZCCR said a Corgi picnic / fund raiser is in the offing for late October.
  • Frank Eibl

    AWESOME!  Thanks, Doug.

It sounds like so much fun. I'm so disappointed we can't make it, but I planned a Vegas weekend months ago and I just won't be back in time. Take lots of photos please!!! And have a Corgi blast!
  • Tim McCoy

Wait.......this isn't a dog park?  We can't take them off of the leash?
  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

@Tim, As far as I can tell from the park web page it's a normal city park, not a dog park.
  • Jess, Ein, Faye & Wilson!

We will be there! Sunday is actually Faye's birthday, so we'll just tell her it's a party for her. ;0)
  • Frank Eibl

Many THANKS to Vicki, and her crew, for a fantastic Corgi Fun Day and Picnic.  A great turnout, tons of happy Corgis, and a super good time.  I've got my photos posted on Wags n Wiggles,- I still haven't figured out how to put them on this site.  Doug, maybe you can put in a link to them again this time?  A big THANK YOU to everyone for making this such a fantastic day!

    Frank and Toby.

  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Posting pictures is easy, Frank!  See, there you and Toby are!  ;-)   Just click on the second icon from the left and it will bring up a little box that says "ADD IMAGE."   Select "From my computer" then browse your way to where ever the photos are on your computer.  Pick the one you want and click "Ok."   You can specify a size for the image if it's too big.  The ones you uploaded to Wags&Wiggles are just the right size.  Here's the link to Frank's pictures from today:   Link

  • Frank Eibl

Hi Doug and Gromit.  Thanks for putting the link for my pix in.  I tried again, and my 'puter just doesn't like the site, I guess - it won't do it.  Thanks again.  It was a super great, fun day!

Frank and Toby (who is napping most of the day today - lol)

  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Frank, you just need to upload the picture here like you do on Yahoo.  You can do it!  Or ask Toby to help, kids know all about computers.  ;-)

Anyway, my pictures from the picnic are here.

  • Nick&Scoot

Damn I so wish I could have made it out.  I had a big week of tests and spent my whole weekend at the library on campus studying.  Any idea on when yall will have another one?
  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

Nick, there is usually a fall picnic and a spring picnic.  When I learn the date of the next one I'll post it here.
  • Kristi Reckard

its been a full year since Grace had her puppies and I have not been on this site forever. Sorry all, did not disappear just been super busy.

I would love a meet up if anyones interested in planning one! Hope you are all well. MIss you and your corgis!!!

  • Nick&Scoot

Does anyone live in the Mesa area?  I live close to the Quail Run dog park and take scoot up there whenever I have the time.  Would be nice for him to meet some other Corgi's

  • Heather Ng

We live in Mesa, but we might have to wait until after holiday travel to meet up.  Keep us posted of any corgi meet ups in January.  Our corgis also love to play with other corgis!

  • Elaine

we live in parker its not too far away, we would love to get together, spikes has never met another corgi before, it would be a real treat

  • Derrik and Wrigley

My wife attends ASU and I live in Washington State, Wrigley is there for the winter enjoying the warm weather (comparted to Seattle!) She lives near campus and gets around by walking or on her bike, so she can't travel very far most days (her friends cars are sometimes available). Anyway, the dog parks that we've found aren't the best and we love to socialize Wrigley so I thought I'd post to see if anyone in the area has anything upcoming or would like to make a dog date with the two of them. Maybe a walk around Tempe Town Lake or something, if interested I'll pass the information onto her and she can log on here and chat. Thanks guys have a great week.

  • Micheal & Sampson

    Hey All!

I posted a discussion of a pair of stolen corgis. I am sad to say the search is over.

Both have crossed over the bridge and will be missed...

    Thanks

  • Gromit, Sparkle, and Doug

A pox upon anyone who hurt them!

  • Kitty Kirwin

OMD I am gutted those poor babies..

  • Kitty Kirwin

They should be charged with murder who did this it is so wrong.

  • Carolyn and Gracie

    Omg, I feel sick.
  • Emily & Cooper

How could this happen? Makes me afraid to leave my dog in my backyard.

  • Kitty Kirwin

Arizona has a huge dog fighting problem. They steal dogs to let the mean ones kill them. Lock your gates and keep you pets close. I do not let her our of my site. I love Gwenie like a child as we all do. This is just sicking. So gutted for them. Guard you corgi's and other pets.

  • Micheal & Sampson

Emily and Kitty - This was ex lover issue. Not a backyard pickup.
But to all thanks. Nice to know others are on our side. Though we wish pox on him we are going legal route
  • Carolyn and Gracie

This is just so upsetting for all of us.  Honestly, I felt like crying while I was driving to work.  It's crazy I know, but I don't know what I'd do if anything ever happened to my dog.  I'm so sorry for your friend.  I hope the *astard that did this pays dearly for it.  Those innocent little doggies.  :(

  • Jess, Ein, Faye & Wilson!

Michael, I am SO sorry to hear this. :( My dogs are also named Ein and Faye. I am nearly in tears as I read this. I hope the responsible parties are brought to justice. My heart goes out to you.

  • Frank Eibl

So terribly sorry to hear the outcome.  My sincere sympathy to the victums.  I hope the perpetrators of this horrible crime ROT IN HELL!!!

  • Kitty Kirwin

Pox and all evil ills to this evil beings who could harm any small animal. This is gutting. I pray for the loss of these tiny lives who brought so much love to the world. So sorry for their loss.

  • Scott+Nicola+Brody

    Hi All!

My husband (who is originally from AZ) and I are moving there next moth and bringing our little tike Brody...We were wondering if there were Phoenix area meet ups?

  • Kitty Kirwin

I hope we are have a better weekend. I wish I lived in Phoenix not Tucson so we could come play at the meet ups. Gwenie would love to meet other Faboo Corgis as she calls her furiends. Cheers and much love from us.

  • Julie & Lloyd

Kitty - can't remember if I've messaged you, but we're actually having a Tucson corgi meetup on Saturday, Feb 4th at 1:00 at Reid Park, and we'd love to have you! Feel free to message with any questions :)

  • Kitty Kirwin

Hi Julie & Lloyd You may have I had emergency surgery just 2 weeks ago and have been ill for over a month. I have seen things and forgot sadly too many pain pills. Princess Gwenie is shy but needs to like others. Thank you I hope we can go. Thank you. Kitty & Gwenie

  • Scott+Nicola+Brody

Is anyone here from the Ahwatukee area?

  • Emily & Cooper

Are there any Corgi owners in the Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca area? Cooper and i have been dying to play with more Corgis. The last time he got to romp with a fellow of his breed was when he went with me on a trip to Indiana.

  • Kitty Kirwin

Emily Holtane As I understand it we have a corgi meet up at Reid Park this Saturday at 1pm.
