Okay, Let's do 4 @ Lewisville Railroad Park. There is a small dog section, and a large dog. The large dog is 5 acres and the area in the back is usually very empty, we can meet there. (all larger dogs I've encountered there are very friendly and well mannered. Which is more than I can say for the Small Dog Area) - Hope to see everyone there!!

We were absolutely planning on Roscoe & Evie joining the meetup last weekend, but we brought my wife's car into the shop and they took until exactly 5p (closing) to get it back to us. We were disappointed. Interested to hear how the gathering went. I won't drive to FTW, but we're always interested in any weekend times & dates in the N Dallas area (especially our home arena, Frisco, or Plano).

Christina, I think I speak for the Denton crowd by saying we would love to meet in Denton!  There are lots of us up here and there are typically anywhere from 2 to 6 corgis out there on any given night.  I wouldn't be able to come tomorrow, but I could come out Tuesday evening if you'd like to meet up!

We can be out there around 6:00 - some of the others come out a little earlier, so feel free to start without us!

Why hello North Texas Corgis!

Hey if anyone has a corgi that's freaking out from the storms just rub a dryer sheet on them, the only reason they're freaking out is that there is static electricity in the air.

We actually have a "thunder shirt" for Roo (because he is afraid of everything, lol).  This has really helped him in stressful situations, including classes, trips to the vet, etc. as well as during storms.  My parents dog is a rescue from Hurricane Katrina, and gets really freaked out during bad weather. . . and she will go get her shirt and bring it to my mom even before the weatherman can get the warnings out!

Felix challenges the storm!!  He just barks at the thunder ALL NIGHT LONG.  He's just too tough.

Has anyone gone or is anyone planning to go to Friday on the Green in Fort Worth? Apparently it's a free concert series in Ft. Worth.. someone posted it on the Fort Woof dog park Facebook page. They are have a pet food drive and it's dog friendly!

Also-- Friends of Arlington Animal Services (the group that helped me find Zoey) is hosting a Yappy Hour next Sunday in Arlington. Live music, endless appetizers, drink specials, dog friendly. Proceeds benefit local rescue groups which pull from the Arlington shelter.

Guys! New Dog Park in Plano opened and its amazing! I think we should have a Corgi Meetup there. There is a large pond for the dogs to play in. A sitting area in the middle, as well as many sitting spots in the parks + trees. 

Sox would like to go !

By the way, Squishables.com, the maker of round, squishy animal pillows, is having a contest to see what dog gets Squished next.  Corgis trail Shiba Inus by about 100 votes right now.  The contest ends May 7, so let's get the Corgi vote out!
