she is actually coming from a breeder down in lynchburg. and i can't wait either! as far as i know the breeder is sending me more pictures when her eyes open though, so hopefully that's soon.

you must be just as busy as i am with the new addition! i took him out in the backyard today to do his business again and he's so overstimulated he doesn't know what to do with himself. LOL... cant wait for the weekend, its too hard spending hours away from him knowing hes alone!!!!!

yea I agree! Bailey won't come when he's outside, but inside he'll give me that darling look when I call his name. He doesn't always come, unless I have a treat. =P I think I'll just have to spend some more time outside after playing then he'll really have to go and I'll reward him for going outside. =) I tried even brining out a paper towel with his pee on it to get him to go. I'll keep doing it until it happens. Can't wait for that moment!!!!! He was SO energetic this morning, I couldn't keep him still!. I think Bailey's not sleeping much at night. not sure why. =P I hear him trying to tear down the cardboard I put in his big crate as a divider.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think its cause he sleeps a lot during the day. He's too much of a cuddler.. lol.. he pretends he can spring into my lap with one jump.. and he's not quite that tall yet. =P I have to get a scale so I can track his weight. How many pounds is Baxter? The vet told us last Saturday that Bailey was 7lbs 2oz, like a big baby. =)

ahhh!! what a big boy i have then! lol. which is suprising, since his momma looked pretty small. =) yea its okay! u know what.. Bailey peed in his crate for the first time last night too! =T yeah i had to wash the towel i had in there, but it was party my fault. yea he's been noiser lately too. the first night was bad!!! the second night was great, monday night was ok so was tuesday but yesteday night was not (he peed and tore up the cardboard). =) i wake up an hour earlier than normal for my lil booger now. =P my friends adore him though! i have people at work who dont even know what corgi's are, and i am proud to show them pictures! i have a calendar on the wall at work. =P im taking bailey to get his vet shots at the mobile clinic this weekend, hopefully that goes well. gotta get back to work =X take care! Hope Baxter is nice and quiet and stays dry tonight! I'm so glad I know someone else who has a corgi pup at the same time. =D give him some kisses for us!

hi nicole! hi baxter! i hope all is going well. i really do relate with the snapping. i think mines has to do more with exercise, either that or teething. im going to ask about it at our puppy class starting next month, if he is still doing it. i can see he's trying to test my limits. other than a few minutes of that, bailey's the sweetest thing ever. i love him so much! oh and an update on hte potty training - I think all of a sudden hes forgotten where to go... ohh the puppy days

oh yes and happy to report that Bailey has ONE ear 1/2 up! =P

yea! puppy class should help, and i can throw in some questions to to the trainer if you have any for them. =P I signed up at the local pet food shop (Petsmart) . You could try there (wherever you buy your toys/treats from, the might have classses too?) I have to take some more pictures and upload those.I can tell he's getting bigger by the minute. The Nipping problem i have is ALWAYS after a long nap/away from mommy. He just has a affinity for pant legs and clothing in general. I should've never given him that hand towel to chew up! He's used to the feeling of fabric between his little sharp teeth now! But yes, we will work on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy is that an issue with Bailey. He will not come when he's outside - unless hes tired and pooped and sniffed everything in the vicinity and sees me heading away from him. Everything's too exciting. I need to give him a treat everytime he comes - which is what I do when we are inside. Or at least a pat onm the head to make it random. =P He does quite well inside in terms of listening to me. For some reason once we are outside, it's like he doesn't feel the need to obey anymore. As far as the potty training goes, if he goes in the right palce I praise him so much and give him a treat right afterward. If he goes in the wrong spot, I just ignore it and wipe it up. He'll eventually learn mommy is happy when he goes otuside or on the potty pad inside. We'll see how it goes today when I get home!!!!

oh yea and i need to buy a scale! i dont know how big he is now, but definetly bigger!

hi nicole! hi baxter! =P loo loo looo just posted a blog since bailey's pretty much out cold from our morning to the vet to get his second series of shots! hope all is going well. they grow up so fast, he looks so different in the pictures i just uploaded. i cant wait to see more pics of lil baxter! hows the snapping going? bailey's pretty much learned that no isno. and me ignoring him works. he used to be more aggressive (hed bite and not let go) now if he does it i point and say no, and hes pretty much off. =) did u have any luck with finding a puppy class?

yea wow he does start next week! =P it was $119 for the puppy class. =P Hope they don't vary the prices across the country! =P man we had a crazy weekend. mustve met like 40 relatives, and about 10 of them were kids, bailey was so nice to them. he was so worn out when he came home. hahahaa i love that booger. =P

hi nicole! Hi Baxxxyyy Baxter! =) No need to apologize for not getting back to me, remember I understand how busy you are!!!!! =P Sounds like Baxter had a great weekend! Puppy class went well - the first class was more of an orientation, i felt like i was back in high school. the teachers were read us the cirrculum and scheduling and went over attendance and told us not to hit our dogs. bailey was quite bored during this, he was so cute and would just walk and plop down =P i felt so proud. then he did the most adorable thing ever! he crossed his back legs while they were in that "pork chop" position - see pic on my page. i almost died and glad i had my camera. LOL. anyways, then they gave us a clicker and some coupons and told us to "load the clicker" which bascially meant click it, then give him treat, so they associate the clicker with treats (to the point they will expect/look for a treat when you click). then we worked on "watch me". You hold a treat up at your eyes then say watch me and once eye contact is made, you click and give a treat, then after some repititions, you say watch me but this time move the treat down, if their eyes stay on you, then click, give a treat, but if they don't then repeat till they do. =P i found a better way to do this. i just hold the treat down to begin with, say "watch me", once he makes eye contact with me i click say good boy and give him a treat. He's caught on quite quick! ... and they reminded us to toucht their paws ears mouth and belly everynight so they won't be afraid when we go to give them a big hug or trim their nails (Bailey's pretty good about that!).i think he was the best dog in the class. he was the biggest puppy there, lol, caujse all the other puippies were small (and yappy) breeds. the closest in size was a 13 week old shiba inu, it was so cute. Bailey and Rosco (the shiba inu) wrestled after class. He was so pooped when we got home.

oh yea! and i will have teh hardest time teaching bailey to speak cause he's not a barky dog, like i thought corgi's are!!! he will ONLY bark if : 1) I am about to throw a toy or 2) If he's scared about going down a steep set of stairs. Otherwise, he's practically mute (well except for whining hehee). but i like it, cause he did not utter a single bark in puppy class, while all the other small yappy creatures were barking non-stop!

for the wait, i sat down and had him near me. i say waitttttt waitttt while i am putting the treat on the floor. if he steps closer, i say waitt and i retract the treat/put it up. then try again, slowly lowering it until he does not come forward for it (they soon realize they have to wait before the the treat is released, if not then the treat goes bye-bye lol). he can only get the treat after i say ok. so i keep saying wait wait wait then... wait then ill go OK! then he goes for it. =P

I know! I can't believe Bailey used to weigh so little too - if I had to guess how much he weighed now, id say 11lbs or maybe even 12. hahah =P Yea whenever I try to brush or cut his nails, I have to occupy him with something, otherwise he just wants to chew them!!!! Hahahah yea, I thought the whole "watch me:" would never work on bailey cause its all about the treat treat treat, but hell look at the treat and ill say watch me and hell actaully snap me a quick glance. =P iom working on him to hold that look longer. =P don’t worry, im sure baxter will get it! He seems to be super smart. Yea I gotta try to get a pic with him and the shiba inu next week. The owners are kinda quiet, hard to approach them. The only question I felt comfortable asking them was how old he was. Lol. =P hahaha im sure baxter isn't scared of dogs 3x his size, huh?!!? Bailey will just about jump on any dogs face. Its really funny. And I get quite embarassed and say be nice bailey. He just immediately pounces on dogs and wants to play. =P I have introduced him to cats yet, but I think he'd want to wrestle them lol. I never thought of cilker training, but since im in the class I kinda have to use it, plus if you're enrolling in my online class LOL you'll have to use it! =P mann… =P they're growing up so fast. Hi Nicole! I have to tell you that I think Baxter is adorable! As I'm waiting for my baby to come I browse through the pics and videos and I have to say that Baxter is my favorite. He's the one that makes my heart melt--such a cutie!

LOL. =) Anyways, puppy classs yesterday wasn't too exciting (we didin't learn much - she ust taught us how to reinforce the "Heel" command, but we didn'thave is assigned as homework) but he sure did socialize. =) Bailey learned Paw over this past week. It's so cute. he looks like he's waving when he does it. How are you and Baxter?!?!

Hi nicole and bax man! so great to hear from you! Glad to see Baxter is having a bunch of fun. =P well we found out bailey contracted Tapeworm, and we got some meds for him and he's ok now. I panicked!!!! Anyways, besdies that, this week went great. YEah, hes growing up so fast. I'm collecting his fluff in a bag lol. =P currently i probably have about half a sandwich bag stuffed. lol.. might make sometthing out of it! =) It's great to hear you found a puppy class too! yea! we should defintely continue to share! ooo i switched foods right away when i got bailey cause they had him on purina puppy chow (probably the worst food ever!!) . i currentyl have him on natures recipe lamb and rice. i might switch soon. even though its a good food, he doesnt seem to love it (but that may be partially my fault cause i do spoil him with chicken/lamb/duck jerky... =X and plus he gets sooooo many treats at puppy class... i gotta hold off on the treats but its so hard when theyre so cute. ok cant wait to see the new pics! =D have a GREAT weekend. Hi nicole! Hi baxter! Well puppy class went great yesterday. Turns out him and the shiba inu don't get along anymore!! His new best friend is this girl pug named mercedes. Shes the cutest thing - will sit for any food hahahaha =P and shes got a underbite so her tongue sticks out a little - its so funny. =) Maybe the shiba inu just got too jealous of bailey's handsome-ness and him stealing away all the attention (and girls!) in class. Hahahha the teachers yet again used Bailey to pratice their demos on. He was so smart. This week, we learned sit and down (both of which Bailey knows already) - but only by hand signal. They suggest that we do the sit and down via hand signals only - then when they master that, then use verbal command along with the hand signal, then migrate over where you can just do the verbal. Not sure why - but yepp. Sit you bascailly move the treat backwards over their heads, and down you put it at their nose and lower it to the ground. =P They didn't know he already knew these two commands, so he caught on pretty quick. Ooo and they made us walk in a circle like 10 times so we could teach themt o walk on our left side, and he did great there too, something about him behaving in class but when I take him for a walk , he likes to go wherever. Gotta work on that! Ooo and something bad happened! He sat on some other dogs' poo!! Thatowner didn't pick it up and when bailey was playing with this BIG (I mean BIG) 6month golden retriever pup (wow I never thought they get that BIG!!), he didn’t know how long he was, went to sit down to rest.. And plopped on some other dogs poo.. And it was runny too. Ok long story short I spent a good time cleaning that up before we left class. But all in all it was good. They give us treats to use in case we don't have enough variety (which I think makes dogs have the runs - so I only bring one kind) - and I learend bailey likes freeze-dried liver. It looks like compacted sawdust if you ask me.. But I guess its just something about liver!!!.

wow he looks so grown up and so handsome!!!!!! =D sooo cute. ooo yes freeze dried liver does look like condensed sawdust! lol =P man i hope class goes super well for you two tomorrow! I know Baxter will be the star of the class too! yes im working on tryuing to get bailey not to weave and pull and bite on the leash - hes too excited! but in class hes ok cause there sint too many distractions. but outside theres just too much more to sniff. as i type this, bailey has gone WACKO chasing an empty water bottle around and hes going CRAZY CRAZY. he lost the water bottle but is still running loops around the kitchen. hes a nut!! lol its so funny when they tuck their ears back so they are more aerodynamic. hahaha ok now he just collapsed on the floor tired, and in true corgi fashion hes in the super corgi pose. =P lol. man wish our corgis could meet! have a great rest of the week. =D

Anyways, puppy class has been going well. Were working on stay and come (so hard to get him ot come to me when tehre are so many distractions). Were also working on loose leash walking - having them walk nicely on your left hand side and sittting when you stop walking. Its going ok. I don't really like using the clicker, and he does pretty well without it.. So I've kinda secretly stopped using it. =P our class is too big to notice. Hah! Anyways, bailey's doing great. His poo is kinda looser than normal, but otherwise hes fine, might get anohter fecal test to make sure! Ahhhh so our bunny butts are almost 4 months old, huh?!?! Theyre gonna be ready to go explore the world.. Meet other corgis at the park.. I just cant wait and am soo glad I got bailey around this time cause summer will be awesome.

Hi Nicole! Hi Baxter! Yea its ok!!! I understand, no need to be sorry! Yea Bailey is SO growing up, I think hes almost 15 lbs now. He's going to be huge at this rate.. Lol. Baxter's registered name is so cute. Heheh. I'm glad to hear Baxter's exceling in his class! Yea - let's go have a bonfire and burn our clickers! =X lol. Just kidding! Yea I taught Bailey how to speak.. But now he's gettinga little more vocal, so I won't be asking him to do that much! Yea we really need work on loose leash walking - he likes to pull and tug on the leash - just to be his little bossy self. Hahaa.. Wow only a 4 week class!?!? I would feel cheated too. I felt cheated for this 8 week class!!!!!!! - the teacher literally had us walk in 20 loops around the back of the store to teach them how ot loose leash walk.. And even had us drag our dogs if they were tired because "they'll get up".. And I felt so mad because I knew he was tired and he was doing well - so why do that?1?1 I felt like they just wanted to tire us out so we would think class was productive…,… and the teacher certain has their favorites in class - an english bulldog puppy - they ALWAYS talk about him. They should know better and treat all the dogs in the class the same. Oh wells. I'm not too impressed, but at the same time, we are picking up a lot of things from the class and the socialization is great. These classes do get expensive - I've been spending a lot on the regular stuff and once hes ready to exploreeee the world, ill have to get flea meds - but they seem more reasonable at amazon.com (for frontline plus) than in the store.. We don’t get much mosquitos here cause it doesn’t get humid and all our windows have bug nettting.. So im not sure if well get heartworm prevention (even though its recommended). hmmmmmmmm, and I don’t think im going to sign up for the basics course, at least not at Petsmart… unless maybe it’s a different instructor - I'll have to find out. Haha!
Glad to hear there's a corgi picnic bax can go to! =) were forunate enough to know theres a corgi meetup here in the city every 2nd Saturday, and hell have his 4th series may 24th - so we should be able to make it june 14th - unless I have birthday plans lol. Ill be turning 24 on the 13th…. Another year older, another year wiser, eh? Hahhahahhaah.

oohhhhhhh hahaha the dreaded baths.. bailey hates those! Well bailey and I went to sleepover at a friend of mines' house and he did SO well. NO accidents!!!!!!!!! =D that constitutes being good on any day. lol. =D but that was on friday-saturday, then on sunday we had puppy class. got a little discouraged cause i told them that bailey had trouble pulling in class (but hes really good at home). I told him its due to the excitement, so he said well you should be able to control your dog in any situation, so he takes my dog (with my permission) and demonstrates.. butt... he first gets like 10 pieces of duck jerky to do it. anyways, bailey actually listened and diidnt pull. =T..... but then hes like you can do it.. great... what encouragement!!! i just have to bring 10+pieces of duck jerky and hold it in my hand in order for him not to pull in class! hahaha... i have to say i dont love my instructor. but socialization wise, i love the class cause theres so amny dogs. =P he loves to wrestle with this english bulldog puppy, his name is Fatty (so cute!). i have to get a picture before class ends. AHH!!!!! a must.

bailey lost two of his bottom front teeth!!!! i wish i could find them.. he probably ate them =T.

Yes!! Bailey was extra chewy (hahah that sounds weird) this morning! He wouldn't stop chewing on his crate pad last night.. And wouldn't stop chewing this morning. I've noticed hes extra hungry (either that or he just wants something to chew). He's LOVING his ice cubes now! Hahah. Yes!!! He went after my sneakers this morning on our way outt!!!!!!! And he doesn't usually go for them, so I defintely know he's in his teething stage. Those two teef (haha) on the bottom have started to grow in! =D big boy teeth!!

I think I took Bailey out every hour to prevent accidents at my friends house LOL. We have hardwood and my friend has carpet, so I was extra worried, since potty pads feel like carpet… and the accidents bailey has had at home since ive taken away the potty pads have been on the rug in the dining and entryway. Hes learning though! Im proud to say he has been accident free since last weekend. If I'm home, he doesn't have any accidents! It's only when I'm not home and have to leave him in his playpen - he has no where else to go. =T but yepp!! Hes learning! =D hahahhaha and he doesn't even poo outside our house anymore… he waits till we walk a lil and hes in front of a neighbors house… LOL =X

Yes!!! Well puppy class went well this past weekend!!! They learned to come to us and combined it with a sit. It was fun because it was smoething new where there were a whole entire group of dogs at one end of the store and I had to run all the way to the other side and call "Bailey- COMEEE!!!" hahahaha. And I was soo nervous to let him run off leash to me across the store without stopping to visit the people standing mid-way. He did so great! Just ran straight to me in a slideeeee before he actally sitted. =D I was so proud. Gives me hope he can run around off leash someday! =D I was so glad he didn’t decide to stay there with the other dogs!! Its like he was choosing me all over again. LOL

Oo you know he's doing OK on loose leash walking - he can walk loose, its only when he gets excited or sees a person he pulls. I admit its my fault I haven't been too strict about him walking on my left. I haven't committed either way yet (whether I will pursue teaching him to only walk on my left and at my knee - or just let him walk freely).

Hahahah you are so right about Fatty - oh boy is he the teachers pet!!! Bailey was for the first two classes until Fatty arrived. LOL =X

Bailey LOVES going out to stores/in public.. Anything!!! He loves car rides too (nuless in a crate) - I currently seat-belt him in the front passenger seat and he is SO good. No jumping around. He will just sit there and watch me.. Seomties he wonders why it appears that I have bug eyes (sunglasses) - its funny, hell just sit, stare, and pant. Its so adorable. LOL,. I am SO happy that hes not a dog that gets carsick!! Bailey also loves riding like Bax!! - shopping carts are fun for Bailey, until he sees another dog and he wantst o peer out and sniff. =P Baxter is going to be SO happy once you put that pen up! =D you have to take video of that!!!! That is so cute he feel asleep in the shopping cart. =*)

I am too, a sucker, at buying something everytime I visit a pet supply store. LOL. Its like a habit now!!!! Its bADD!!!!! I never spent so much on even myself!!!!! But for bailey, id just buy something without thinking twice.. =X

=D Bailey's been great! He's 18lbs 4 oz now, and 18 weeks, hes probably 18 1/2 pounds now. HES SUCH A BIG BOY!!! How much does Bax weigh now?!?! I need to compare cause I think I have a gigantic corgi on my hands and it's not like I am feeding him 2 cups a day with peanut butter!!!

I have decided to switch foods on Bailey, probably late next month. I bought a bag of Wellness Puppy and am waiting for the current stuff (Nature's Recipe) to run out. I think he is digesting the lam quite too quick so its leading to loose stools - plus he doesn’t lvoe it. I know he'll just love the Wellness brand, I can't wait to get him on that!!

Bailey's last class is this Sunday and they told us to bring cameras, so yay - graduation day! It will be sad, but at the same time im already planing ot take him to the park, beach, friends houses, etc. LOL so he wont even miss puppy class! =) He had his final puppy shots last Saturday (it felt like some kind of graduation - into teenage hood or something!), and we took our first walk ever in Golden Gate Park (the biggest park in San Francisco) and he LOVED the grass. I swear, hes a grass-lover. Hahaha, just because out in the avenues and residental areas, its mostly concrete! =) and my backyard is full of weeds (I really need to get that fixed up cause its got such great potential - its all fenced in so I really just have to clean it up - and shoo those stray feral kittens out - YES! The feral cats had kittens… im afraid to take bailey out there in fear they’ve left a bunch of droppings, etc). Anyways, Bailey met my dogs friend on this walk and he had a blast. =) I (and probably Bailey) can't wait to go on more adventures together. Weather pending, we'll go to the park again this weekend, or go to the Beach! =D Beach Boy Bailey here I come! Lol

we had a great and exhausting weekend! You know it was quite windy and cold, so the beach was out of the question (at least for me - I doubt bailey would have minded) hhaa. Yes, graduation went great and they even wanted bailey to sign up for intermediate classes cause he did so well, and they were willing to give us a discount.. But I feel the $$ weren't worth it - plus it was the same instructors that I didin't love. Anywhoo, I just plan on taking him on adventures every weekend to get him more socialized and wel'll just stick with the training at home (which is why he did so well in class anyways!). We might be albe to make it to the beach this weekend (hopefully its warmer and sunnier). =D and the monthly corgi meetup is coming up on the 14th, so were looking forward to that as well!
Yea Bailey likes to throw his ice cubes in the air and try to catch them.. Lol. =P Bailey has lost I think the remainder ones on the bottom between the two big ones and his adult teeth are coming in. At one point the adult one was coming in and the baby one hadnt fallen out yet - but I looked later that day and the baby one was missing - it was the day of the puppy class - the wrestling probably did it - yaY!. But his upper ones are taking longer. There are big gaps, plenty of space for the adult ones to come in. I think hes lost two of the five ( I think). I am SO addicted to buying things for him, and it doesn't help when the people at the store think he's so cute and offer me a store coupon. Lol. Mann… boy do I also neeed that 12 step program.. Or maybe 20. lol. Who knows! This weekend I spent so much, found out I needed new tires on my car…. But basically my tax refund went to that! I always find myself justifying my purchases so I feel better. So it IS an addiction!!! But at least I'm not in denial. hahahha
Yeah, I don't know if he's truly a giant corgi. I can't wait to go to the corgi meetups to compare him. He'll probably be the youngest one there. =P cant wait cant waittt!!
Wow! Yeah, I didin't know a dog could lose interest in Canidae. Hehehe but I think its the same with Bailey - I spoil him too much on yogurt and other treats he doesn't really see kibble as the yummy source of food, but I used to feed him three times a day. I still feed the same amount - but I only feed him twice a day now. It's helped a lot. By dinnertime, hes hungry - and I no longer have to add yogurt/sprinkle freeze dried liver over his food. I haven't switched yet, so I do doctor up the breakfast meal still - I need himt o eat fast first thing so we can take our walk so he can poo then I can go to work! Haha but once we switch to Wellness, I hope he just gobbles it right up. I will let you knoW!!! They sell Merrick at the local pet food store too, at around the same price as Wellness, so well probably go to that if he doesn't like Wellness. =P Funny though, there isn't Canidae and the closest store that has it sells it for double the price of Wellness. hahah

Yay! Lifetime bros!!! Ahahahahahah but you have to know the west side is way cooler! Just kidding! Oh, I wish we were closer together too, how much fun we'd have. =(

hi nicole! hi baxter!!!! =D well bailey finally checked the beach and the largest park in San Francisco off his list! =D he was so well behaved. i wanted to put him on a pedastal and scream "That's MY wonderfulest awesomist sweetest corgi, bailey!" hahaha. =P ok maybe not, but i was proud.

=P on the ummmm down side, bailey had some green eye poop the beginning of last week for 3 days and it cleared up before i was seriously contemplating taking him to the vet. hes all fine now. hahah i feel like i have to tell you that for some reason!

anywhoo, bailey is going to his first meetup this saturday. we hope to see some folks there and take a lot of pictures and video! =)

so how is baxter?!??!? baileys been accident free for awhile, except a pee accident in hte kitchen (thank goodness) on saturday.

You know!!!..... I don't have an agreement with my breeder - so it's Bailey's choice (j/k =X). Well, my original plan was to have him fixed, and I think it is…… but… 20% of me wants to keep him intact, not to breed really - but just because? If that makes any sense at all - why alter a perfectly perfect dog? But then again, I'm sure I'll end up deciding to get him fixed. I don't know if he'll be a bad teenager or if he's going to be one of those dogs that marks a lot - and its not really pleasant to see your dog mounting other dogs at the dog park!! So embarassing. But yepp, I've got about a little over a month to finally decide, but I think the snip snip is highly likely. There are certainly more pros than cons in having a dog fixed =P I haven't even searched around for the best price in town to get it done, and if you don't mind me asking - how much did they quote for your surgery??????
Awww you have a to take a picture of bax in that pen and mount it on your wall forever! =) yeah yard work in general is tough, I cant imagine building something. Lol. =P I eventually do want to build a dog house for the sake of building one! Wouldn’t that be fun?!?!!? Just to keep in the house for his bed even!! Oo I think im going to buy that book once I find another book that’s about the same price too so I can buy them both and get free shipping - we had a book fair at work today and they did have this book on vet-approved dog treat recipes you can make at home (from spaghetti to cookies and everything inbetween). I would love baking for him!! Lol, anyways, thanks for the link!!!! I was flipping through the sample pages and saw a teach-your-dog-to-juimp-through-a-hula-hoop trick. You know I have a hula hoop at home and Bailey is DEATHLY afraid of it. Hes more scared of it than the vacuum cleaner. Poor thing. I think he thinks it’s a snake (its black and yellow striped), he just starts barking and running away when it gets close. Maybe that or he thinks the "snake" is attacking me so hes trying to fend it off. =) what a sweetheart! Hehe

Yeah we'll have a great weekend! Yessssss.. Its my birthday tomorrow! =) going to go with a couple of friends to the San Francisco Giants vs. Oakland A's game tomorwo at the ballpark! But Bailey's my everlasting present, I'm going to take him to the beach. The cable guy is coming tomororw morning and I hate it when they said ohhhhh well be there from 8-12 - its like HELLO!!! That’s like half my birthdaY. But then again I had to pick it because they said I had to be home and they don’t do weekends. =( boo! =) well anyways, till stil turn out great. My friend said she was going to come out and hang out with us while we wait for the cable guy! =)
Ive always wanted a video camera!! Lol. But in the past, I really had nothing to take video of - but nowwwwwww it would come in so handy! =) my video option on my camera works pretty well though. =P

I bought the book! And a couple of other ones, like 6 of em for $60 and it even comes with a bone shaped wicker basket lol. =) It has the 101 tricks, a dog behavior book, and some book called"whats wrong with my dog", a treat recipe book (with vet approved recipes), etc. I will let you know if I find a fabulous easy recipe!!! And let me know if you have qusetions about behavior (why dogs sniff butts, etc) lol or if you have a medical question!!!! I'll look through my books! =D ill probably tell you about all the interesting things ill be reading. =D
He won’t get near the hula hoop! He like circles it 4 feet away and just barks and snifs, but he will not get any closer! Lol. It’s a good deterrant though. I've opened the front door (there was still a second door - a security gate - so it was ok) and stuck the hula hoop in the doorway and he NEVER got close. Its probably just as good as a baby gate.. Lol. =)

You know… I must admit.. I spoil him, really bad. If im eating a banana ill give him some, if im eating cherries (which are now in season!!! Yum!), ill give him some. If im eating string cheese.. Ill give him some. He eats better than me, but I know its still bad to hand feed him what I'm eating (cause hes starting to stare at me - but hes soo obedient - he wont bark and if I don’t give him anything after a couple minutes, hell walk away and just chew on his bully stick or a toy) But…. Anyways, the only reason im still giving him fruits, yogurt, cheese is that Bailey is actually really good with his kibble. I'm starting to phase in Wellness now. Its about 80% old stuf and 20% wellness. HE WILL EAT THE WELLNESS KIBBLE AS TREATS!!!! Lol. I gave him some just out of my hand after dinner, he sniffed it and ate it. I think he likes it. Bailey was more picky when I fed him three times a day - he would not eat breakfast, eat lunch late and not want ot eat dinner. I still feed the same amount now, but I just twice a day. So I know hes hungry in the morning - and he gets NO treats until he finishes his b-fast. And then… after I get home from work he gets another meal and he eats it without any fixings cause hes so hungry by then! =) then he can have all the treats afterwards! =) I hardly dock up his food anymore (I used to for at least 2 of the 3 meals a day when I fed him 3x a day) and when I do, its because I have to go to work and hes being slow about it - so I mix in some fat free yogurt. =P
In conclusion, I don't know why Baxter isnt eating! He should be if its only twice a day!!! He might be getting too many treats from your parents!!! Its true a dog will never starve themselves, so yepp: no treats until after he finishes kibble (as a matter of fact I actually give bailey a yummy treat for finishing his kibble lol), and no more scraps!!!

Me and my cool momm went on a walk yestermaday (I cant spell bro) and and mommy was telling me I was a good boy for going potty (me never understood why they get so happy when we do icky things like poo and pee), and then then some popos (police womans) drove right up and stopped and rolled down their window. I saw mommy have a really nervous look on her face so I became nervous too. Then then the popos said "#%@%#@%@%@%@", mommy said they were saying "ohhhhhh hes so cuteeeeeE" later when we got back home, but I thought they were goin to arrest me, yo, or my mom!! But then mommy smiled and I knew it was ok, so I ran up to the popos and they were really nice. They let me jump on them and they gave me scracthcies (ahem.. U know scratchies are manly.. Not that I uhh asked for them..). Well that was my first time meeting popos, and from mommys nervous look I hope it’s the last time cause cause I don’t like mommy being nervous. =P

You are right, she is a chihuahua/pug mix. We had never seen or heard of them before until we got her. She is a sweetheart. It's strange though, she is much bigger than a chihuahua and a pug. Fortunately, my Corgi gets along really well with her.

hahahha bailey feels at home with everydog, corgi or not.. he loves any dog that runs - he loves to chase.. he might just have that herding instinct! i should have it tested! =P

ooo yes i know cant record anything at nightime! these ecobulbs turn the lighting yellow and that and a video camera made to not shoot at night = bad ugly videos. lol. =P

hahaha ooo and i do have a frozen bag of peas just for the occassion! j/k. bailey actually likes to eat frozen peas too. im not a fan of them, i bought em for him! =P

yes! the books came! but they "forgot" one, so i emailed customer service and the guy said theyd send it asap. so that was nice. =) i made some banana and peanut bubba cookies for bailey. he LOVES them. The recipe is at the end if you want to try em. EASY and YUMMY = happy momma and bailey bear. =P i stress the EASY part. other recipes always call for so many ingredients, etc but i really like this simple recipe. =P gonna try one involving chicken broth after these are done, ill let you know if those pass the bailey-test. also, a great thing about the peanut butter in the biscuits is that the cookie stays somewhat chewy - not rock hard =). bailey likes that!

i got the tricks book, and they have "beg" as one of the easier tricks. i dont know if its a corgi thing but i cannot get bailye to learn it. hahaha. i was trying to teach that and teaching him to wait while i put the treat on his nose. he keeps moving! =P i need to do an updated video of all the tricks he knows. you watch for it! hehee

Bailey: momma made some yummy-butt cookies yesterday and i was practically drooling over them. they were so kick-butt i think momma should open up a bakery and sell em. I could be the bakery mascot! but momma said she stucks at baking. shes just in denial. =P i wish i could send you some yummy cookies, bax bro. mommma said shell send ur momma the recipe. =P you will love em. try not to drool too much while they are baking! hugz and chest bumps to my bro! you keep the east side cool! peace out!

Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Biscuits

Ingredients:
1 egg
1/3 cup peanut bubba
1/2 cup mashed banana
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 wheat germ (we substituted with oatmeal!)
1 egg white to brush tops before baking

1. preheat oven to 300 degrees F
2. Stir egg, peanut bubba, banana and honey together
3. stir in flour and wheat germ/oatmeal, mix
4. turn dough on onto floured board into 1/4 inch slab
5. cut with cookie cutter (we just made circles using a shot glass lol)
6. place on baking sheet (doesnt matter if theyre right next to one another, they dont expand) and brush with egg white
7. bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown
8. let cool over wire rack and feed the yummy fuzzman! (i let them cool overnight)

it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT HERE IN SAN FRANCISCO RIGHT NOW! AND ACUTALLY HUMID TOO! 11% humidity and 85 degrees. I am dying! so is bailey! It hasn't been this hot since I've had him, and he's just lounging. We actually made it out to the beach this morning around 9am. the weather was perfect! =) glad we made it out before it got really hot. =P some videos are uploading as i type!. he was playing with a couple doggies at the beach, esp this dachsund but again, i failed to bring my camera out when they wer eplaying. errghh!

nicole! baxter! how is everything? havent talked to heard from you two in awhile. lots has happened, probably hte most major is:

1) baileys now 26.5 pounds
2) He was neutered on Friday and is doing wonderfully in his fashionable blue cone.
3) We're going to that baseball game next week!
4) He started to lift his leg when he goes potty. its the cutest thing
5) Learned a few new tricks like crawl, tunnel (i havent been too diligent on teaching him new stuff.. i should!)
6) hes no longer scared of the vacuum or hula hoop (hula hoop is so-so!)
7) Bailey's now on Wellness's adult line (so he doesnt continue to grow too fast) and eating it great. a dab of water will do if hes being fidgety.
8) bailey's beeen going to every monthly corgi meetup and meeting new corgis
9) he has a girlfriend (lol well not really, we pretend. my friends brother's friend has a female corgi around the same age, her name is bella).
10) he misses baxter!

haha! Hi baxter bro!! Guess what??! I found my blood brother recently at a corgi meetup!!! it was so cool.. but you're still cooleR! =D haha. check out the pictures.. oh and by the way, how come you havent sent me your latest pics?! I want to see how big your muscles are.. lol!

oh! mommy actually went to the ice cream shop and brought me back some frozen yogurt for my birthday! it was awesome! only once a year she said.. cant wait till i turn 2! =) Mommy also brought me out to the park more than once a day, and and and she sang to me! =D shes the greatest.
