About Me:: I'm an lifelong animal lover. Currently having 4 dogs of mixed parentage - all rescues. I am the lead volunteer at my hometown animals shelter, Portsmouth Humane Society. I share my life with my husband, several ducks, two parakeets, one cockatiel, several bunnies and 4 dogs, one of which is our Corgi, Chocolate Lab mix, Hooper.

About My Corgi(s):: Our baby Boy is names Hooper (from the movie Jaws). He is a Corgi-Chocolate lab mix. He looks like a chocalate lab on corgi legs. don't be fooled - He has a full blown Corgitude, hogging toys, bossing the other dogs, and of course sleeping on his back. His best buddy is anyone who will play with him. He frequently uses his size to his advantage attacking the larger logs from underneath (just like Jaws). He only had one of the dogs he cannot not intimidate and will not challenge, our foster dog, a female Bassett mix. We adopted him a little over a year ago from our local shelter when he was about 10 months old. He immediately store my hear when he laid his head in my hand a rolled those big pecan eyes at me. I'm hooked.
