I am a first time owner of a corgi and I have a lot to learn!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
I have a female corgi who is turning 5 months on the 13th of June. Her name is Maya and she is full of life. She has been through two sets of obedience classes. She is great with tricks and all that stuff but when the pressure is on and you need her to act her best, she fails... she failed our final examination for our obedience class!
Welcome! Maya is adorable..and she sounds like my Joshua - he'll do tricks reliably, but command him to "stay" or "come" or "drop it" - you know, something important, and he will only sometimes do it. :P Oh well, we'll just keep working on his training. In the meantime, we get a good laugh at the way he automatically lifts his left paw to "shake" every time we tell him to "sit". Hee hee!
Hey, where did you get Maya? Wonder if she'll be a blackfaced tri? The blackfaced allele is recessive to the ordinary tri pattern, wherein the black on the face mostly fades (Al has no black left on his face at all, Gwynnie only a little).
Carrie was firm with us: no strenuous hikes until 1 year old. You want those bone growth plates fused.
