Hi. My name is Steph and I'm a Southern California native who just moved back to the SF Valley. I was born and raised in Porter Ranch but left for college. I graduated from The Ohio State University and lived in Columbus, OH for 7 years. That's where I got my Heidi.

Heidi is what I call a Borgi, a Corgi/Bassett Hound mix. I got her when she was a little over 2 months old and she just recently turned 3 (April 6). Heidi actually has a very interesting story and background. She is from a farm in Centerburgh, OH, about 1 hour outside of Columbus. Her initial owner had Corgis, Bassett Hounds, and Scottish Terriers.

Heidi's mom was only 6 months young when she became pregnant. She was a one puppy litter so the lady I got Heidi from didn't even know Heidi's mom was pregnant. Heidi's mom gave birth to her and left her alone for a whole day before anyone even knew she existed. And because her mom was so young she rejected Heidi and she was raised by one of the Scotties. The lady I got Heidi from initially named her Miracle because it really was a miracle she even survived her first day alone.

I was told that was the early days of my little one's life. She almost looks full corgi, except with a long bushy tail and longer hair. I still can't believe how lucky I am to have found her in a random newspaper ad. Her original owner works for an adoption agency so the money I gave her was donated fully to the dog rescue in her neighborhood. I'd say the hour drive to meet her is well worth it :)
