    You could try contacting a shelter that uses foster homes. I think the Houston SPCA does. Maybe they could help you find a foster home with a family that has experience with housing dogs temporarily. Good luck with finding a place for Tex. I know it isn't easy finding a friend or family member willing to take them for even a short vacation. I hope everything works out for you. Stay safe overseas.
