That's pretty far. I was prepared to drive to the Dallas area but really didn't want to cross the border! We're in Houston. I am so excited for Pengu to come home tomorrow I have her little room ready and toys and food and a bed and blankets and t shirt..oh and the camera battery is charging!!! I saw your picture of Beni's 1st bath (cute!) How old was he when you gave it too him?
Thanks, I am embarrassingly excited! She is a bluie. I feel silly talking about her like I have her already... Yeah, no breeding will be going on or nothing. I mainly wanted a tricolor female to be like the corgi version of the cute beagle girl we have already... (It will be like sisters!!!) The picture that I have is the breeder's picture. Anyways...she just happened to be a bluie...
So your puppy flew to you?!! Ha!
Yes!!! How exciting to find Lyla's brother! They do look a lot alike, don't they. Lyla is such a stubborn little mess, but I love her anyway. How funny that Beni does the little squealing thing too. Once, at the dog park, a dog came up to Lyla and sniffed her, never touched her, and she started crying like someone was killing her! She's such a mess. How is Beni doing? They grow up so fast!
I find harnesses easier for me in walking my two corgis and love the bessie and barnie harnesses. A bit expensive but love the color choices. Don't follow their size chart...Parker is 24 pounds and needed XL & Penelope is 19 pounds and needed L. The smaller sizes did not fit their necks...I wasn't able to use the two fingers rule. Plus I have brought "cheaper" brands and they did not last too long so far, I had these for about a year and still looking new.
Hey there! Sorry I didn't see your comment until just now! I am finally getting a puppy from Susan with this coming litter(s) - I don't know of any others who have puppies from Paula, but I bet Susan might be able to pass along your info to other people who have siblings. I would love to hear about your experience with BHR and your puppy so far! Please email me when you have a free minute (klandon@alumni.purdue.edu)!
Hi! Sorry, I never scroll down to check the comments on my wall, so I just now saw yours. How is Beni doing? They are getting so big, aren't they?! Lyla was 16.4 lbs last time she was weighed, but that was over a month ago, so she's probably between 17 and 18 now. How big is Beni? Lyla is super laid back. She is a lazy lap dog. She is also very, very sensitive and does not like it if I raise my voice even a little. I just posted a blog about her yesterday that has a lot of information about her. And yes, Lyla will eat anything she can find. My Aussie does that too though, so I just try to keep things as picked up as possible!
Yes, Lyla can be very timid. It's a bit of a hassle sometimes. It is not uncommon for her to be so afraid of something that she doesn't even want food offered. It's interesting that Beni is like that too. They just must be a cautious bunch of pups! I have been considering taking Lyla to a herding instincts test. She is too scared, I think, to ever be very good at Agility or Rally, but she shows a lot of herding instincts so I thought herding might be fun. For all I know, the sheep will scare her though, lol. I guess we'll find out!
I did pick one out! Like Susan said in her blog, it came down to two little guys out of Ginger's litter and I just couldn't decide between them so I gave it a day and decided on one and I'm so excited! I'll be getting him the week of Dec. 7th!
