I was told that mine was also going to stay pretty small, she is 17 pounds right now. and is a lot shorter than most corgis I have seen. She is about 7 1/2 months old and hasn't grown up or out in a couple of months. Somedays I think she is getting longer...but was told by her breeder that she would stay small. Makes for the perfect travel size.
OMG, could she be any cuter??? Of course I can be partial to Corgis in Ladybug costumes...but she is tiny & adorable!
Your description of her on Rescued Corgis about her being a "zombie dog" and covered in scabs reminds me of the description I have of my rescue being an "Auschwitz dog". But they have this amazing ability to bounce back and love life!!
I agree i got my corgi from a pet store and wish i would have rescued a dog. I love my corgi but there are dogs out there that need homes! My corgi is 17 pounds also she was very sick as a pup and still has problems. It has been thousands of dollars later and we are still looking for answers. My toby is a pure breed and is beautiful but even with that you never know what your getting. Good luck.
I'm not in Ventura County, I'm in San Diego North County at the time being. Will be moving to Riverside County real soon (less than six months). Could you keep an eye out for any Corgis that need rescuing for me?? Once we're settled into our new house, I'm rescuing one or two more.
It's great that you rescued and it's even greater how she healed. I wish all owners first think and then breed. There are no corgis in need in our country, but I'm afraid it will soon change - they are becoming so popular...
