Welcome Debbie and Family. We also have four corgis and horses and I really would rather be home with them than at work! You have some wonderful pictures!

You do love Corgis! Your Corgis are very lucky to have a small farm to run around in!

Thank you very much. Some think I'm crazy and maybe I am but I am so addicted to these magical dogs. You'll like it here. Alot of good people w/alot solid information and advice.

Hey Debbie! So good to see you on here! SirMacKellen is doing wonderfully and is so smart! We have to constantly change his games because he figures them out, which is a lot of fun. He already knows sit, down, comes when he's called, and knows "roll over." He's still learning the ways of the leash for walks and is getting better by the day. I hope all is well with you and your Corgi Pack!
  • Sylvia

I'm so glad that all the pups found homes! I was contemplating coming over for Tristan for a while! Such a pretty boy :) I would love to come out and visit sometime once the quarter gets under way and things settle back down again. That way Mac can come play with his family! Asher's off at a foster home now and looking for his forever home so things are a bit lonely around here with out his large and friendly presence. I've thought about getting another dog though it would not be until summer when I have more time. For now one puppy and one cat is definitely enough!

    Welcome to MyCorgi.com!

Thank you very much. No my vet does not do it. This is done by a laboratory like VetGen. They'll send you a kit w/3 swabs and you also have to get a collection of several hairs containing the DNA on them and send it back. The process is really simple and takes no time to do.
  • Wendt Worth Corgi's

Your welcome..glad you could look it over and figure it out.
  • Sylvia

new pics added today :D hope you guys didnt have any problems with the flooding!
  • Laura Jones

You have beautiful corgis and horses.
  • Sylvia

we had no troubles with the flooding though a friend of a friend did :P I think they are back into their place now. yah I can't figure out which he looks like more either! Got a bunvh of great shots of him today thought with this odd strange warm weather. Can you believe it? 57 today!
  • Laura Jones

No flooding here. Thank goodness. I have been looking up in that area in my search for another horse. We have two that are rideable and one weanling. Leads to a problem when there are five people in the family lol. I have an aunt and uncle in Yakima and my grandmother recently moved up to Yakima. It is very nice up there.
  • Ann B., Scout and Summer

Hi Debbie! The photo was taken on the Magruder Corridor, a dirt road that runs across the middle of Idaho, between the Frank Church Wilderness and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. It's supposed to be the most "remote" road in the lower 48, and we drove it and camped two summers ago. Sounds like you are outdoorsy folks; you would love it! Your corgis are beautiful--look a lot like our Scout. He was bred by Kathleen Mallery in Parma, ID--"Castell Corgis"--she has a daughter in Seattle area who also is a breeder. We always think about getting another pup--maybe...
  • Kimberly

Thanks for the add Debbie! Your babies are so cute and I love your pics, especially the one with the puppies snuggled up to their mommy, so sweet! We are getting another corgi this summer, hopefully a red. They are definitly addictive. I can only imagine the fun you have with four!
  • jonan74

thanks! i wish i could right now, but we have a handful. in the future for sure... :)
  • Shelly

Wow! Great pics -- and even better -- great corgis, horses and family! Hard work I'm sure -- but worth every moment! Enjoy it all.
  • jonan74

thanks for the welcome, and no need to apologize! I misunderstood! :)
  • Kristi Reckard

    Debbie,
Wow your dogs are so good looking. I am impressed! I am interested to know if you are showing any of your corgis. I am interested in showing Grace in some local shows but have never done so. It seems to me that Grace has wonderful markings and a friendly personality. I have registered her with AKC and have gone on their website to find some shows in my area. they were not able to help me find shows in phoenix on the website or even over the phone for that matter. Was wondering if you had any advice? thanks
    Kristi
  • Lisa Gleeson

Debbie, thanks for the welcome, I am already enjoying my pup so much. He has a wonderful personality and is so well behaved. This seems like a great group.
  • Sylvia

I just joined the group Corgi's with Weird Vocals! It's a hilarious group and Mac definitely fits in XD
  • Cherie

My husband has family in Spokane, and I have family a couple hours away from there! :) We considered going up there, but too much rain for desert people! :)

Thanks Debbie! I'm a huge Larry McMurtry fan, I had a German Shepard named Woodrow Call until he passed away a year ago. I didn't get to name Bella, or her name would have been Maggie, she did have one litter before coming to live with me a has a Corgi-? mix son named Newt. We've always wanted to visit Washington, have family in Idaho so maybe on our next trip we'll make it! Your dogs and family are beautiful!
  • Todd O'Brien

Beautiful dogs. A full litter of tris!
Just noticed your page. I've driven past you 3x this winter, taking Al & Gwynn out to Ancient Lakes, Gingko SP & the Vantage climbing area at Frenchman's Coulee (to escape Seattle winter). Just there last weekend to see the desert in bloom 4/20/9.
Had I known you had puppies so close, I'd have been tempted to "invite" myself over to squeeze some fur. I have to be heavily sedated to visit puppies.
Al & Gwynn came from Carrie Hale and Joyce Gilpin (she's a horse person too) on the west side.
Do you worry about snakes/scorpions on the east side? I'm usually over there when it's too cold for them, but I've seen timber rattlers in lower Icicle Canyon, as early as June.
  • LaVerne & Shirley

    Hi Debbie!
Greetings from Wenatchee. I was just looking at your pups and Im hopelessly in love with Lorena...lol...what a cutie! Then I was looking at Nia's pedigree and discovered that my pup and Nia are related. LaVernes dad is Tie goes to Sammy Sosa! No wonder Im in love with your pups...they are related! Did Nia come from Mari in Ellensburg? She told me where Tie went so I hunted him down and found my LaVerne. She is the most incredible creature.
  • John Wolff

Thanks for the snake info. So yes, it can happen? They were certain it was bitten by a venomous snake? I have seen a harmless snake at Vantage, a garter-type snake that mimics a rattler, diamondback color/pattern and all.
Snakes sometimes give warning bites, not injecting venom ("Bitten by a fer-de-lance", Stephen J. Gould). A Utah friend's DAUGHTER was once bitten on the heel by a rattler -- with no consequence but anxiety. I fear an envenomed bite would kill a small dog quickly.
  • LaVerne & Shirley

    Hi Debbie!
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting your home today. What a lovely piece of heaven. Your dogs greeted me with gusto.....lol......I loved it. All the happy faces and smiles!. They are all so beautiful. I couldnt decide which one was my favorite. I kept changing my mind all the way home.....lol. What a welcoming committee!
My husband saw Lorena online and it was love at first sight. He told me " as long as you are over there you should go see her" I was shocked....lol. I had been poking my nose around looking at red and white pups but come to find out he has his heart set on another tri and we do want another girl. LaVerne is so friendly and mellow. She loves everyone and everything.......well except birds seem to annoy her. I think she wishes she could fly too. She recently graduated from puppy kindergarten and got along great with all the other dogs.
Please tell your husband thanks again for letting me interrupt his morning. Just give me a jingle when you find something out.
Thanks again for everything. Your puppies are so cute!!
  • John Wolff

One more thing please: can you remember what time of year the snake incident was?
I know zilch about the central Washington environment, and even less about how my dogs would react to a snake.
Always a bit nervous in unfamiliar surroundings.
  • Evelyn Laurenzi

    Hi Deb,

Thanks so much for the info on your fluffy. Yes, it's too bad you're so far away. I know that some folks choose a corgi from a distance and have it shipped to them, but I feel like I need to meet the pup and see if there is chemistry. That said, I do appreciate you taking the time to reach out.

    Best regards,

    Evelyn
  • Evelyn Laurenzi

I'm sure she is! I know she'll find a loving family that will adore her. Take good care. Evelyn
  • John Wolff

Gosh you sure have some nice photos, esp. with the puppies & children.
I think Gwynnie & Al deserve a ranch... but maybe the climate here on the west side is more like Wales... each has had a chance to ski up Mt. Catherine at Snoqualmie Pass this spring.
  • Patsy Thompson

Penny will be 8 months old August 6th. She is is from a breeder in Couer d'Alene Idaho. She weighs 20 lbs. and stands 10" at the withers so isn't quite full grown. She is a rambunctious adolescent pup. She does get along with other dog; the woman who my dad bought her from had two other dogs and she plays well with my two Corgis. We've never actually witnessed her with children but, again, the woman who had her temporarly had children and she didn't mention any concern about that. She Love's her cat. One thing that I will mention right up front is that she has what is referred to as juvenile cataracts in her right eye. This condition doesn't affect her vision and from what we read, shouldn't ever. I have pictures but can't for the life of me figure out how to attach them to a message through this site. If you have a regular email I can send them to that address if you'd like.
He would like to recover what he paid for her-$200. She was spayed in May and is current will all of her vaccinations.
Penny is a really sweet pup that, just because she is a puppy, it too much for my 80 year old dad. She would love to find a "forever home" with folk who can train and play with her as she needs.
I will be away from my computer after 9:00 today (Friday) but can be reached by phone at 208-267-3240
  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Just wanted to say hi because I'm now a big fan of yours, thanks to LaVerne and Shirley, two of the most beautiful tris. I love looking at your corgis. In fact you can see Lucy pictured on this page. She's pictured next to Corgi Anonynous: MyCorgi.com under the heading Badge, toward the bottom left of the page. She's from Tim Mathiesen, Nebriowa Corgis in Oakland. Check out our photos. I wouldn't be surprised if a heart bark x puppy is in our future!
