About My Corgi(s):
All my Low Rider's have Champion pedigree's and go threw testing requirements to promote a healthy sound Corgi. I look for smooth movement, flat toplines, great expression, thick sturdy bone, and most importantly..MIND! My dogs get the utmost of care and love and expect the same from any puppy buyers. All my Low Rider's are fed Eukanuba and Sentinel given monthly. My puppies are raised in the home w/my family and are socialized several times a day. I have an AKC Registered Veterinarian who I have a wonderful relationship w/and handles all of the care on my Low Rider adults and pups. Puppies have their nails trimmed every week w/dewormings starting at 2 wks of age and every other wk. following the initial deworming along w/vaccinations at 6 wks before going to their new homes at 8 wks of age. All puppies are sold on a Limited Registration unless references are provided and I feel your worthy of an Open Registration. Contracts per agreement will be signed before releasing said dog. I will allow my studs to service a very selective few outside females upon my evaluation of said females and a health certificate from a veterinarian. I have acquired a Kennel License for my county which allows the county and city to come unannounced to inspect my kennel, and of course AKC. I have also acquired a Vendor's License which makes me pay taxes on my dogs. As a breeder, I feel it is my duty to educate any new owner and be there for the life of any puppy I produce and place.

I have:

It's interesting that you should mention environmental factors; I have some definite suspicions regarding what may have contributed to his disease, especially the cutaneous nature of it. As well as the possibility that we may be over vaccinating these little guys. A controversial stance, but one I'm beginning to buy into more all the time.

Thanks for the cute welcome message.

I presume Sian is safe and sound in Colorado by now.....I join with you in the hope that she wows them in the show ring....I know that you have worked hard for this....I did not realise that DM was so prevelant in Corgis. Have you actually seen a dog that was affected by it? The Bernese Mountain Dog carries the gene also, so I have notified my granddaughter in Arvada Colorado to do some research on the disease also....We gave her a Bernese Mountain Dog.....she is a super pet...I agree with you that I am the master of the corgi crew.....and imagine that we can probably add a third dog without too much trouble....I will have to think about it......Will be attending an all breeds show in Fredricksburg next week....not showing....just cheering on my friends. Would you believe it...I finally went shopping and picked up an Enya CD...Love it....

    Thank you!
  • Kevin and Buddy!

You have some of the cutest pictures!
  • Kevin and Buddy!

Ha! I knew I left a double comment. I have a strange feeling that my puppy is going to need some sunglasses to shield him from the flash exposure. :-P

I want you to know that when I opened your site I was reminded to turn on my speakers....I thought that it was too quiet, and you know I love the music.
Thanks for the tip to try Clannad...It would seem that I am behind the times musically....all my family and friends were familiar with Enya....Thanks for the info on DM....I am surprised that so little is known about it in the general public...I do not remember DM ever being mentioned in the veterinary practise I was associated with. I think I will being doing some research about it. How is Sian doing? I figured out how to add pictures to my site...Will work on music next. I suppose that will take me all day too, but I feel so good when I have accomplished the task. LOL Marion

Not in "sand minus the soil" Florida!!! :) Maybe that is why Emma loves to roll in the seaweed when we take her to the beach...

At 11:46pm on January 10, 2010, Carol Powers said… Well, yes, one would definitely wish to "think beyond the original thought" after all :) I only said it was a suspicion; this comes from other credible sources clinical and otherwise. I don't quite follow your argument regarding the paws; I suppose you are making a comparison to bare skin, eg. bare feet and the dogs naked paws; whereby the dog would readily absorb toxins at these spots and would then, logically, ingest those toxins orally as well (licking their paws and so on).
My dog had his first cancer - a spindle cell carcinoma, coincidentally, at his rabies vaccination site.

I love your pictures with all your dogs! I was wondering how long to expect my two corgis to bond. We have an 8 year old very spoiled male, and just rescued a 2 1/2 year old female ( It's been a little over a month ago). The don't fight but I wouldn't say that they "love" each other yet. From your pics, it looks like your corgis get along well!
  • Bruce Tisdale

    Thank you for the compliment
Yogi was real photogenic, guess it rubbed off on his pups
  • Lori

That is really cute. Happy and I thank you for the welcome.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! I'M VERY EXCITED TO BE A PART OF THE CORGI COMMUNITY. THE ONLY THING IS WAITING ALL OF THESE YEARS TO FINALLY GET MY CORGI HAS BEEN UNBEARABLE, AND NOW I HAVE HAD TO WAIT EVEN LONGER TO FIND A REPUTABLE BREEDER NEARBY, AND THEN WAIT FOR MY PRECIUOS ARRIVAL.

i cant wait to see what he looks like when he gets bigger. we just took him to the vet today to get his 2nd round of shots and im so very proud of how he was, he let everyone pet him, even kids and then he even went up to every dog in the clinic to say hi and his cute little nub tail was waging lol i sure he is a bluie. his two brothers were the same color also but his parents where tri colored. i love the color of his coat and its very soft. this is my first corgi and i have always wanted one and ever since i have gotten him there is a big bond between us. im so glad i found this site, it makes me happy that a lot of people feel the same way about this wonderful breed and i get advice if i have any questions
  • Rebecca Marie O'Bryan

thank you for the advice. i will be patient with him as i am now with the potty training lol. i was looking on sites for a corgi and someone said to look on craigslist. and there was a female corgi and i emailed the person but she had found a home but she had breed her and they had three pups. she sent me pictures to me and we talked about him and then i talked to my husband about it so we went to there house, they were very kind and gave me all there check up records and i seen the parents. she had the mom brought back over so i may see her. she showed me the father and mothers records so i knew they were in good health. i was scared since she wasn't a breeder but the house they lived in was nice and the parents were in good health. to be even sure of him i took to two different vets to get tested for heart worms, etc. the vets assured me he was very healthy. the only problem that i had was switching his food awhile ago but that was my fault but now hes all better. but i do have a question, he just got his 2nd set of shots today, is it ok to take him for walks around my block? and there's a corgi festival on the 13th would it ok for him to go? i just am scared he will catch parvo or any sickness. thank you:)

Wyatt and I thank you for the warm welcome
  • Rebecca Marie O'Bryan

o wow i didnt know that. im a little scared now. and when i went to the vet there was a section for pups that needed there 2nd set so we were away from the other dogs but i did let him on the floor because he kept trying to wiggle out of my arms, they said they clean there floors but now im scared that he would of caught somthing
  • Amanda and Birdie

  • Holly W

Thank you for the welcome. I look forward to chatting with fellow Corgi owners!
  • Rebecca Marie O'Bryan

i see what you mean, im just so scared that something will happen to him. i love the little guy so much and i dont want him to catch any deadly diseases before i get his 3rd and 4th set of shots. but i also know that the window for him to be socialized to things and more people is closing fast. i guess i just need to relax lol but that fear is always in the back of my mind. my husband always tells me to relax because its only a short time for the 2nd set to kick in and he will be getting his 3rd set of shots on the 23rd. i really appreciate all the advice you have given me:)
  • Linda Nix

  • Lucy & Ricky (Wendy/Jack )

Thank you for joining the Corgis remembered group. I hope this group will be a place for sharing great memories and photos your noble Corgis over the years. I am not a breeder, but I have owned and studied the breed/breeders for 40 years, beginning with my first UK Stormerbanks Corgi, Gorki. He was a rescue, way before there was the term "rescue dog." We've been Corgi fanatics ever since Gorki, and we hope our kids will all own Corgis someday! I'll find a photo of Gorki and post it soon.
