I live in Northern Va with my husband and my daughter. Jackson is our first dog & corgi, and we are soo happy we picked the right breed. Long live Jackson!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
We got Jackson from a breeder in Essex, VA, called South Haven Farm. He came home with fleas and worms. :( Jackson recuperated, and is now a very healthy dog. When we take walks in the park around our area, people complement him on his healthy coat. (the secret: sweet potatoes!)
Lucy and I are delighted to have you as our new friend. LOL literally. I love the photo of Jackson, (who's beautiful!) lying down and smiling. Here's a silly one of Lucy laughing.

I can help you but I won't be able to until Friday?? Is that gonna be ok? I'll send you "BY E-MAIL" the code to insert so it will look better. . .let me know. . .I'll be working from home and I'll have more time. . .believe me it will look superb!!!
Thank you as a fur parent I am kind of biased but I think they are beautiful too! Thank you for the friend request also. I think Jackson is a beautiful dog. I like his happy smile!
Jackson is obviously a star. We're sorry to hear about his feetie thing. Bryan pulls the hair from between his toes in the winter. And we really have to watch out for salty walks and streets that burn his feet. Trouble is, he still has his dew claws. They get in the way when we put boots on him. So he HATES them. They really help with the salt and cold though. And he looks so DARN cute! Best wishes to Jackson (and you). We're glad to count you among our friends! Bryan & Robyn
Your Welcome! Glad you enjoyed Lances video!! We were out in the backyard for an hour and he was "snow tunneling the whole entire time, first time I have ever seen him do that. I really got a kick out of it. I have more videos of Lance on my page.
Hi... about our mutual problem: When the woman came to do the home visit for Tara, I mentioned the problem with Bryan being suddenly testy and difficult. She asked his age. When I told her that he had turned 3 in February, she told me she had just read an article. It stated essentially that: "Dogs become who they are at 3. If they have been putting-up with anything up til then, they may not anymore." YAAARGH!!! Thank God, we've been working with him and he's much better. We decided that we should have gotten his sibling earlier. But since we didn't, we are so grateful that Tara is like she is. We doubt anyone could dislike her!
p.s.: (I ran out of space in the last post). We are using Victoria "It's me or the Dog's" techniques (giving treats as we see strange dogs approach to distract him and give him positive associations with the presence of other dogs) and Tara has ALREADY been a tremendous help-- even though the first 2 days we really wondered if we'd have to take her back. Good luck to you!
I recently learned something about our newly antisocial corgsters. Someone told me about an article on "Rottie Love." I never did find the article, but the essence of it (according to her) was that dogs become who they are at the age of 3. If there are things they've put up with prior to that time, they may just stop putting up with it. Yaaargh! We're still struggling with Bryan and strange dogs. But he is improving -- I really think bringing in "little sister" Tara has helped. He's learning to share and is actually being really sweet a lot of the time. There are still lapses though. More later. Running out of space.
Bryan usually likes other corgis. But he decided that he didn't like the male of a new pair in the neighborhood. We're working on it. The other day I took Bryan and Tara to see Bryan's longtime corgi pal Tucker. They all got along great. And he was good at a Corgi Meet-up we went to a couple of months ago--aside from wanting to play kinda rough. Thankfully because he is such an adorable lummox, people liked him anyway. It's his charm... tee hee!
How cool! Yep our Shockoe is from South Haven, he'll be 2 years old next march. His parents are Evie and Edwards Haynes. =D Jackson is so cute! He's got that SH charm about him =)
How bout that! half brothers! That stinks about SH though, that was one thing they advertised a lot, how all of the adults were dewormed regularly so not to pass on to the puppies. Thankfully Shockoe didn't come home with fleas, poor Jackson. Looks like he found a great home though! =)
When you open safari on your iphone, type in mycorgi.com, it'll take you to the mobile site http://www.mycorgi.com/m, it is a light weight version of mycorgi.com. Enjoy!
Thanks! Bertie actually won that in a "Best Dog in the World " contest (a fundraiser for a local cancer center) -- we angled to win second prize, the portrait, much better than first prize, a plate! He doesn't need a plate! He'd probably just chew it to bits....hahaha. Jackson is a handsome fellow! How are his allergies doing now that it's summer? My little Ethel has weepy eye-allergies, but it doesn't seem to itch or bother her much.
Jackson is too cool in his shades. I can see he loves it. You know it's all about them right. Hayden nudges my hands in the mornings, because I guess he thinks he should have an am massage every morning. haha!!. who cares if mommy wants to sleep.lol
What a handsome lad your Jackson is! We live in NWOhio and we got that 3 foot snowfall last Winter too. Gunny loved it too. He stepped off the back deck and went under...he was shocked and started "swimming" to get back up to me! So funny I wish I had taped it.
