Your photos of Parker and Penelope are so cute! It's amazing howmuch Parker looks like our Hipster. Did you go to a breeder in Riverside? Having a redhead and a tri is the best...

    Hey Parker and the gang,

I think there is an unofficial meetup in Mountain View at the shoreline dog park on the 5th saturdays (the 30th).... but we already have plans to go to the Dog Faire that saturday in Rohnert Park (kinda far north). They are having a Dog Faire (the 1st annual - so i hope it turns out good). It's a little over an hours drive from SF - is that too far for you guys? Hope to see you there! If not, I'm sure we'll eventually get to meetup!!!!!
  • Karen & Bailey

Here are the details for that dog faire:

    May 30, 2009
    8 am till 5:30 pm
    Robert's Lake
    Robert's Lake Road,
    Rohnert Park CA, 94928
  • Karen & Bailey

YES Bailey is kind-of noise sensitive! sorry to get back to you so late.

When were at home, hell go barking when he hears certain things. I still consider him lower than average in the barking dept though, cause outside at the park, etc.. he wil not bark. Here's a small list of things he's sensitive to:

Doorbell, vacuum cleaner, cell phone, doors shutting, ice machine in the fridge, weird sounds coming from the TV, haha...

If he doesn't hear any of these, he's generally a very quiet boy. hagha (he doesnt whine much)
  • Karen & Bailey

I'm glad its warm down there! its quite foggy here in the city!!!! as usual i suppose. Ohh!! Bailey has a thing for kites (much like blimps).. he tries to bark at them and chase them down... hahaha
  • Jess

Thank you! It was wonderful meeting you and your adorable corgis. Please come up and visit again during a meet-up :-)
  • Karen & Bailey

Hey! It looks like we missed you on friday. Not sure if we had the wrong location or something :( Delete Comment
  • Jody Shi

Hi Arlene & Perry! Thanks for the reply! I think when I hold Taki's hind legs too he is able to keep still...but I still think he dislikes it! :( Oh well, i might just have to settle on loving him without carrying him! Your dogs are so cute, and I am loving the harness that you guys use! I need to get me those!
  • Kendal & Bleu (Chris & Randy)

Thanks for the reply he loves his ball more than anything, he can hear it in the air and knows exactly where it will land and catch it off the first bounce in his mouth. He is handsome and shy and though not heavy a big Corgi weighing in at 35 lbs but it is all muscle, he is not overweight!
  • Dez Hunter

Aw, thanks for the comment. I try to take as many pics as I can. :D It looks like you have a corgi of every color! ^o^
  • Gary & Jo + Peb

    thanks for your comment.
I recently moved to Main and 6th.
Come stop by anytime and meet Pebble.
  • Irene (and Pancake)

    Hi thanks for the reply!
I have pancake at puppy kindergarten now, and i am still having huge troubles having her be good on leash... She is about 4 months old.
Im excited to hear that there are agility classes around the area! Ive always wanted to explore it but have no clue where or wat it is about..

At what age can puppies start their agility fun?
Also, which beach do u take your corgis to? (the one in the pics!)
  • Irene (and Pancake)

I see, thanks! I cant wait to take her to Huntington!
By the way, I saw you use Wagville as your doggie day care. It is really close to where I live, n I need a place to board her for a day this weekend. I am choosing between Wagville and Bow Wow Bungalow (http://www.bowwowbungalow.net/index.php)

What are your opinions on wagville? Thanks.
  • Irene (and Pancake)

So after doing alot of research and looking into a bunch of facilities, i decided Wagville is best for her first boarding experience (she's only 3-4 months), because they have an option where she can sleep with a person in a room so she won't get so frightened by barking dogs around her!! (I mean can't get any more spoiled than that lol, but my boyfriend loved the idea).
So she will be there tonight and possibly go back for daycare sometime, it'll be cool to see parker and penelope around wagville =D
  • Ginny

Hi Irene! Yes, I remember the crates, etc. Sorry if you cannot make this year's pick-nicky...and, yes, I will post info about it here soon! Hope to see you at an event soon too!
  • Irene (and Pancake)

looks like i leave so many msgs here that someone mistakened my name for yours haha.

Anyways, Pancake will be at wagville from 2-7pm today, so you can see them play on webcam if u get this msg in time =D
  • Irene (and Pancake)

    what perfect timing!
yeah my boyfriend told me parker and penelope is soo much bigger! I hope she can grow till 20 lbs at least =D
Hope to catch u next time!
  • Megan and Penelope

Thanks, I really like Parker and Penelope...we always call ours Penny! Your Penelope's birthday is a day before mine! What a coincidence!
  • Irene (and Pancake)

    Thanks Aileen!
I probably won't be attending the one on Sunday since Pancake is enrolled for a puppy kindergarten class on Sundays. But she will be graduating soon and since your trainer does agility training, I will definitely inquire about more advanced training!
  • J. L.

Hi there, love the beach pictures. what beach do you recommend ?
  • J. L.

Thanks. I'm not really sure if mine will like the beach, But I think I'll find out this weekend. It's really hot here the beach might be a good outing this weekend. Thanks for the info.
  • Edward and Gemima

Hi Arlene, I love, love the picture of Parker and Penelope on the beach!!! You should enter it in the Calender contenders for sure! How do you submit the Corgi pick of the day pictures? I have been trying to figure it out! Sign our guestbook when you get a chance!!!!
  • Sam Tsang

You're welcome :) Thanks for sharing the photo with us!
  • Edward and Gemima

I love your choice of Corgi colors as well!!! Are you entering the calender contest??
  • Edward and Gemima

I am submitting a photo for the calender, but I can't decide yet which one?
  • Dom, Casey, Zeke & Dexter

Yours are great too! We actually grew up in La Crescenta and are up there all the time, right by Pasadena! Do you know of any good parks up there?
  • Mark Van Wye

Arlene, thanks so much for sharing the Zoom Room information with your fellow Corgi lovers!

    - Your friends at the Zoom Room.
  • Mark Van Wye

We'd love to have a Zoom Room in the San Gabriel valley. It's simply a matter of someone in the area contacting us and expressing interest. If you know of anyone who you think would make a good candidate, please send them our way! Be sure to have them mention that YOU referred them, as we do pay referral bonuses.

We'd love to have you visit the Culver City location - we're actually having a great Halloween party this Sat. afternoon, with costume contests, etc.

    All best,
    Mark
  • Steve

Yes, it's at Cabazon. I had to bring Steve to see the dinos after a quick shopping at the outlet.
Looking at your beach pics made me want to take Steve to H.B. again so he could run in the water. Maybe we'll see you there one day!
  • Spencer (and his parents)

So sorry I didn't see this sooner. We took spencer to Rancho Pacifico del Sol in Malibu. Drummond Ranch runs sessions out there. They also have a another location in the Angeles Forest area. Here is their website:

    http://www.drummondranch.net/

Spencer loved it and Janna is really great. Good luck and post pics!!! Corgis herding are the cutest!
  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

Penelope and Parker are adorable, just love your pictures!!!!!! So many great ones!!
  • Ray Lee

tk you, you have 2 lovely corgis too! Our 2 love swimming and cant live without it. probably because the weather here is so hot in the summer.
  • Beth

Thank you so much for your kind comment. I always try to be pleasant to people. Most people love their dogs very much, and we were all beginner dog handlers at one point! Some of us like myself were fortunate to be raised in homes with well-trained dogs and so picked things up when we were young (and everything is easiest to learn when we are children!). For others, their first real experience training/ handling is not until they are well into adulthood, and it all can seem like trying to learn a foreign language! No one wants to be ridiculed or talked down to, now do they? You have beautiful Corgis and they look very happy in their pics.
  • Ray Lee

the first time we went to the pool they were naturally scared and we put a lifejacket on them and they just did that pilot the first time and they love the water and can stay in the swimming pool on and off for hours.
  • Christine, Sae Woon and Jasper

Thank you for telling me about this site. It's so addicting! Jasper loves the dog park, hopefully he'll be chasing after balls like Parker and Penelope soon!!
  • Sam Tsang

Happy Chinese New Year to you too! I enjoy that article very much, all those gifts gave me plenty of good memories :)
  • Dooby

Wish you all the best in the year of tiger!!! ^^
