The attention that my corgi Rookie lost to the baby was more than compensated by the attention the baby soon gave to Rookie. They adored each other. Rookie never left our baby's side. Check out Rookie and my first baby, Lindsay, now 29 years old, on corgis remembered.
Welcome James. I'm sorry you need to rehome Elvis, but you have come to the right place to find him a good home. If you have not already, post a discussion or a blog so more people will see it. Good luck!
James, I live in RI, too, and have 2 corgis. I strongly urge you to contact the Mayflower Pembroke Welsh Corgi rescue group. I am posting a link with the RI contact person and info: http://www.mayflowercorgiclub.org/getting_rescue.php These people are devoted, corgi experts who already have people who have been checked out (including a home visit) and waiting for a corgi. They will find the perfect home for your corgi. You want to be sure Elvis is going to people who know and love corgis and are prepared to give him the best home. Wish I could take him myself.
hi-I live in South Florida (winter), and also have a home in Newport, RI (summer). I have been looking for a Corgi rescue. I will be traveling up for Christmas on the 22d-26th December. I had 5 corgis, and my last dear one died at 14 1/2 last April. I have a 12 yr old kindly yellow lab, and a dear 2 yr old wire-haired doxie rescue. She needs someone to play with! Can you let me know more about Elvis?
Thanks!
