About My Corgi(s):
Recently rescued, 7 1/2 yrs. old, best dog I have ever had. So loving and love starved. Only real problem is she bolts upon seeing another dog so I've learned the hard way to keep her leashed while outside. But then there's the shedding...
There are many threads regarding shedding. Some are hilarious! As a corgi owner I can tell you that corgi hair is a condiment in my house, in my car, and on my clothes. It's often said that you could make two to three corgis out of the hair that one sheds in a year! LOL Seriously, a really good brushing/combing, a bath and very very thorough rinsing and adding a conditioner. Then getting ahold of the biggest/baddest blow dryer (some use the "wrong" end of a canister vacuum cleaner, (don't use one like we use, very hot), cause it canl burn their skin. Blow against the grain and it's better if you're outside, because hair will be everywhere. literally. This should last for a couple of weeks. Then combing every day or every other day will suffice.
To be honest I can't either...she is quite the looker!!!! I'm glad she has made a wonderful companion for you and its worked out well for both of you. How is the shedding now with her? I have a few questions to ask on it and maybe some advice to help relieve some of that. You can email me at wendtworthcorgis@yahoo.com so I will be more prompt in getting back to you.
Welcome, Don! What a cute corgi you have. What is her name? Congrats on the dancing competition - my husband and I have been taking classes locally for a few years, love it!
