They are doing great. I took pictures of them last night and boy is it hard to tell them apart w/o seeing the neck spots. They really are growing and doing well. Thanks for asking.
Thank you so much for your comments. I've never been to Michigan, but since I live in the Ocean State, I have taken both dogs to the beach. Timer loves it. He gets so excited when he smells the salt air. Sadie is my rescue pup from West Virginia. She went to the beach for the first time this spring. She was not impressed by the ocean, but she loves the sea gulls.
I entered Ella in a local newspaper's "cutest pet" contest. You had to submit a photo to the paper's website. It's so hard to pick the right photo. Wish her luck!!!
The 3 week pictures are nothing compared to the 5 week ones. hehe They are a great litter. So darn cute and well behaved. 2 black tri's in the litter as well but unfortunately my pick is a red tri. I'll be getting 6 week pictures tomorrow night. Can't wait to see what they reveal to me in those.
Silly Ella! That camera can't taste good. I was suppose to get pictures of the pups this week by now but husband has been working alot and I had to give their 6 week vaccinations and I always worry about over doing their little systems so maybe tomorrow I will get a few of them. They are so freakin cute and a good litter. Smart and quick to learn. I'm really anxious to see what the next pictures show me specially on the one female I held back that is still available. I'm really liking how she is maturing and was watching her move and liked what I saw. She has alot of her daddys personality and characteristics which is good.
I do most of the doodles I post in my blog in a computer program called "Paint Tool SAI" with my Fujitsu Tablet PC. You can get a free trial of the program from http://sai.detstwo.com/sai/ . It lasts for 30 days. You can use a normal mouse in this program, though it's a little more difficult. If your son likes to draw and is interested in digital painting, I can offer some tips to get started. But if he isn't interested, I'm not going to write them all out! haha.
Tips on programs: I like Paint Tool SAI a lot more than I like Photoshop for smooth lines and drawing. For painter-like coloring, I prefer a program called Open Canvas. I use Photoshop for its editing abilities mostly. Sometimes I use it to color, but not often. SAI is only $50, or it used to be. I got Photoshop from a friend and I pirated Open Canvas from somewhere. Of course, you can always trial these things for 30 days for free.
Tips on tablets: Wacom brand tablets are the only ones I would ever use. Even my Fujitsu tablet PC has Wacom-enabled tablet drivers! I got my tablet PC because it's a required tool in Virginia Tech's college of Engineering, though, not to do art. I got my first and only art tablet when I was 13 for my birthday. It was a 6x8 Wacom Graphire 3 (steel blue!) Now, 7 years later, my tablet is certainly dated. I thought it had broken a year ago, so I was looking for new tablets. I would really want another Graphire, but they've more than doubled in price since 2003 when I got mine. A Wacom Bamboo is more in the price range for an 11-year old boy (and poor college student) and isn't decreased in functionality much. They actually sell them at my school bookstore!
Tips on using tablets: If he does get a tablet, it will be VERY frustrating at first. Having used a mouse to ink lines and color for two years, though, I was dedicated to the cause. It takes some getting used to, but don't give up hope. It's worth it! Also, it would be very good for him to learn keyboard shortcuts if he hasn't already. Ctrl+Z (undo) is a tablet user's best friend.
