My name is Monica and Sadie is my fourth corgi but my first Pembroke. I enjoy spending time with her doing therapy, taking walks, and spoiling her! :)
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
I have a 9-year old Pem and her name is Sadie. She is the best dog I've ever had and I love her dearly. She is a Certified Therapy Dog and loves to be busy. She loves to walk, run and take rides in the car. Mostly, she loves her humans and enjoys spending time with them.
Comfrey is a tiny town of less than 450 but we live in the country and we are in western Minnesota about 2 hours from South Dakota and an hour north of Iowa.
I am lucky to work part of the time within a mile of home and 1-2 dogs go with me each am and we switch off. I also go to my daughters often and again 2 go with me and we switch off. As for the rest of the time I have done obedience with Bella and Livvy and I did obedience and agility...it's hard as we have a hour drive 1 way but it has been good to do also. At home if I'm out the dogs are all out.We have 5 acres and goats and chickens so they love to run and play! Wynn started this whole Corgi obsession...he is the greatest and is patient as he knows he will get attention. Wiley my rescue is happy to be loved but does not really like to leave "home". My husband helps alot too and takes them places as I do. The hard part is going to be this winter/spring as I hope to have 2 litters but "hope" they will be 4 months or so apart BUT having pups is another full time job as they are raised in my home and that requires many more hours of being watchful and cleaning than I have now! We also have doggie/coffee parties every Friday which is fun! Life is busy and I wish I didn't have to work but I can't retire for several more years so I just make it work! I hope I explained this well enough!
Because we have such a big area for the dogs to run I sometimes forget that they like to go for walks or exploring so that is what I'm trying to more with them and we're having fun doing it too!
We got Lance when he was just 14 weeks old!! He just turned four on the 30th of October!!!! Boy time sure does fly when you are having fun. :) We just love him to pieces. He is our first corgi and we were so lucky to find a blue merle not even looking for a blue merle or even knowing that the color existed :O
Yes that's not bad if you keep on moving...but where we live it gets way below zero and then even colder with the wind chills!!!! I even worry about the dogs being out for more than 10 min. in that weather but that's usually Dec/Jan.
Tried to leave a comment for you a few minutes ago, but do not think that it got through.....In any case I do not know if Waller Mill Park is closed or not...I am surprised if it is....but the way the Williamsburg is expanding, nothing would surprise me....Sammie, Merry and I will be in Fredricksburg next weekend at the All Breed Dog Show...We are not showing...just visiting with friends. Hope the weather won't turn bad. If it does we shall not travel. Will love having you as a friend on my web site. Marion
Hi : The walk Sunday was great....We had 6 six dogs there and five people.... no problems....weather could not have been better and my dogs had a wonderful time....They were really energized when they got home and I can still see a difference in them today....They loved being with the other dogs....Join us anytime....we would love to have you....and are planning to do this again....Thanks for asking...Marion
Will be looking forward to having you join us in the future....I am not at all familiar with Chesapeak.....Of course I have been to Norfolk and Virginia Beach, but somehow have never gotten to your area.....bet your dog walk are great....the dogs sure do love to socialize with other dogs....Finally we have some much needed rain.....so now I can complain about the humidity...some people are never happy.....
We have actually had a little rain....wishing for more...but I am going to have to go out and mow the weeds....I think that is about all I have left. Hope all is well at your home.
Oh Sadie May! Thank you for your invitation to be friends. We would love to and hope that we can meet either in the Chesapeake area or up here in Williamsburg! Tasha said that she thinks the flower on your head is very snazzy looking. Bear is enamoured of your "jungle poses" and Linus covets your elf hat! All the best, Nan, Bear, Tasha and Linus
I am at the beach every weekend, just about, just shoot me a message sometime. Btw your little corgi is so cute! You all should try the first landing park trail as a nice walking path for her.
Hi Sadie....you are a beautiful lady! I live with my Mom (Livvy) dad (Wynn) Aunt Bella,my 3 corgi rescue cousins (Wiley,Teddy and Tank...he's a little mixed up) and my BIG cousin Armani the Aussie. we have 13 acres to run and play but actually Teddy and Tank live at the other farmsite but I visit them often or Teddy really likes to visit me! I also get to go to work on Tuesdays and play with my younger brother:) Life is good but i really like visiting others and always want to go with Jane but she makes us take turns:(
Eins grandparrents live in Chesapeake and I do visit often. We are sad you cannot make it but understand. Injurys only get better if you let them. Maybe we can plan a play-date some time. Take care! Kate, Robert, and Ein.
