I'm originally from WA, having moved to KY to attend college and ended up staying. I currently work as a horse trainer for a Haflinger farm.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Avery is approximately 2 years old and was found wandering the streets when the local animal shelter picked him up and sent him on his way to a corgi rescue. He was underweight and infested with heartworms and other parasites. The rescue was able to treat him and neuter him so he was ready for his new home - with me!
I found him on Petfinder and was able to visit him around Thanksgiving, and then come back for him just in time to receive the best Christmas present that I could have asked for!
Nice to meet you too! I can't wait to have a mini rescue going on when we do get to move. What better place than a farm?:P I know it's eventually going to happen.. But ahh.. Impatience, impatience haha. Hahaha, I probably would be the exact same xD A wannabe Corgi napper haha.
I sadly haven't ridden since I was about twelve. I moved out from my grandparent's house then, and in with my mom, and because of that, I just never had the chance to get to lessons anymore, because I used to go to with with my granda every weekend to visit my cousins out of state, where the arena was that I took the lessons.
I'd always try to bug about going riding on the beach for my birthdays when I was younger, but we only tried for it once, and once we drove an extra two hours away from where we wanted to spend the rest of the day, we got to the place and the lady said we needed to call in advance and that she couldn't let us ride since we didn't. (It's not like we planned on going there, because the reason I wanted to is because we passed a sign for it, telling the directions! The sign said nothing about needing to call, by the way xD)
But yeah, I haven't been up on a horse sense then. My aunt has horses, but the only one who is broken, is pretty old now and get ornery anytime anyone of any size tries to sit on him.
Do you have many horses, or just the one you rescued?:) AND what is your favorite color/s?:D I like tri color paint and paliminos. Soo pretty to meeee! (Though I also love friesians.. Oh gee. So hard to pick haha.)
Haha yeah a beach ride would be amazing. But I am kind of happy I never got to, because it was a group thing and the more I think about it, the less I want to have to stay in a group.. You just don't get the same serenity being stuck with a group of tourists and people telling you where you can and can't go. So, maybe someday, when I have a horse:D Teehee.
Yeah, I live in Oregon. I used to ride up in WA, that's where the lady that gave me lessons was:) But she was in Ridgefield, and since that's such a small of a place, I seriously doubt that it's the same xD
I haven't ever met any Haflingers, but they're very pretty! A lot of the pics that come up on Google are a little to bronze-ish for my personal taste xD I can admire that it's pretty in it's way, but I love the light cream color more:)
You ought to post a picture of your horse on here! And as an excuse, you can make your Corgi "ride" it xD Or something! I would love to see her, she does sound really cute:)
Hah, really makes me wonder. Keep me updated on how big your boy gets (esp if it's less than 30lbs). I don't think there's any way for me to prove they are siblings.
How lucky to get a Pem with a tail! Horses and dogs seem to go together. Babyproof the house. Lock up the garbage, cut the bottoms off all plastic food bags.
awe, he looks so sweet. I;m glad you found him. And i love Kentucky. I have friends that live about 40 mi east of there in Salt Lick. I have to horses to, a Rocky Mtn. n a Qtr Horse. I love riding in the mountains so beautiful.

A remarkably beautiful dog. You're lucky.
They say it takes a month or so for a dog to adjust to a new home.
Put a lot of effort into training. Plan your work and work your plan. It will pay off manyfold. Not a puppy, but looks like a young dog.
Where'd he come from? A dog like that doesn't have to worry much about finding a home.

Oh gosh. Loving home... with barn... horses... more than a dog waiting in rescue could dare hope for.
