Well, it's been a little over two months since I got my first corgi, Avery. My intention was to find the perfect little companion, who would go with me wherever I went - especially to the barn.
I'd have to say I ended up with everything I wanted, and then some! I'm finding it increasingly entertaining that, slowly but surely, I've noticed all of those…

Got to pick up my little Avery today! I'm officially a Corgi owner!
I almost couldn't believe how perfect he was for the 3 hour car ride home - I just gave him a rawhide bone and he went to work, munching away. He got to visit the barn for a bit, because my boss has officially christened herself as his godmother, so she wanted to meet him. Now we're home so I can eat lunch before we take our first walk through the neighborhood. Meanwhile, I took some pics on my cell:…

Hello All!
I've been lurking around this place for some time now, so I guess it's about time I introduced myself.
Corgis have been my favorite dogs since I was about 8 or 9 years old - sometime around when I began studying the dog breeds books at the library. I didn't actually meet a Corgi til a few years ago, but that just sealed the deal! Although I'm a total horse-crazy 25 year old (caught the obsession when I was 10 and am now training/showing…

Thanks for getting back to me. No dressage, i do pleasure trail riding. My horse needs some ground training and her gait needs to be worked on.
Hi Emily, being that you work for a halflinger farm, you might know of some trainers. i am looking for a trainer for my Rocky mtn. I would send her out there for the training. If you know of any please let me know. I have been on line searching, but i think its best if someone knows of someone that has good recommendations.
I would someday love to ride there to. Thats on my bucket list to.
awe, he looks so sweet. I;m glad you found him. And i love Kentucky. I have friends that live about 40 mi east of there in Salt Lick. I have to horses to, a Rocky Mtn. n a Qtr Horse. I love riding in the mountains so beautiful.
Oh gosh. Loving home... with barn... horses... more than a dog waiting in rescue could dare hope for.
A remarkably beautiful dog. You're lucky.
They say it takes a month or so for a dog to adjust to a new home.
Put a lot of effort into training. Plan your work and work your plan. It will pay off manyfold. Not a puppy, but looks like a young dog.
Where'd he come from? A dog like that doesn't have to worry much about finding a home.
Hello and Welcome!!! Congrats on your new pup! :)
How lucky to get a Pem with a tail! Horses and dogs seem to go together. Babyproof the house. Lock up the garbage, cut the bottoms off all plastic food bags.
