"Two of my corgis do it as well. It was hard to explain to vet, so i also video taped it. She said their esphogus can get dry or something like Bev said can start it. Its scary sometimes, sounds like they are choking."

Montana Corgi Survives Avalanche

What an amazing corgi to survive an avalanche, and then walk 4 miles to the motel to find his owners and sat in front of the door waiting for them. The owners thought he was dead and headed back home to Bozeman. They got the call that he was alive, how wonderful. But very sad that the father/husband was killed in the avalanche. Can watch video. google dog survives avalanche. So dedicated and devoted to his owners.

Carol Rea said… Rebecca, CorgiAid had carts to loan! Our Lucky has one and it has been a lifesaver as he is on it fulltime now. He was able to walk for a couple years post surgery for IVDD, I guess that is unusual. Lucky's disc did "blow", he was totally paralyzed when the neighbor found him, called me at work and suggested having him put down - not on her life! Moving on, you may want to join the yahoo group wheelcorgis. It has been a lifesaver for us, that is where I spend most of my "corgi time" as these people know so much. This is terribly disjointed, sorry about that, I need my coffee (it is 4 AM and I was awakened by my able bodied corgi) Bobbie, the woman who runs the corgiaid cart program is also the moderator of wheelcorgis, she is great and knows so much about IVDD having had IVDD corgis herself. Brenda and Gary said… We adopted Lilo from Lost Arrow Ranch in Marseilles, Il. The breeder was very easy to work with and Lilo has the most easiest going attitude ever. She still has her Corgi moments, but not as bad as our last little guy. Last I looked, this breeder still had one puppy left from her last litter.
