About My Corgi(s):
Callie:
Red & White Born 11-15-07 brought home 01-26.-08. Truly the LOVE OF MY LIFE. My heart & Soul!
Cooper
Red & White Male Born 12-13-09 brought home 03-27-10 at 3 month.
I consider them sister & brother as they have the same mother just different fathers. My cousin shows Corgi's and that's how I was bitten by the Corgi bug!
Thanks so much Lori!!! Yes I will definitely share photos when I get little Bowie. I do believe animals go to heaven. God cared enough to make them, so he has a place for them in heaven. As a Christian, coming from a Biblical perspective, God made the animals before humans. So I think they are very important to Him. Thanks for talking about that- that's all I could think about to get me through too. :) So good to meet you!!
Aww you're so welcome! I am glad we can share in that together. And your 2 little dogs in the picture are adorable. Keep in touch and I'll do the same :)
Thanks for the welcome! Your corgi pics are just adorable. Wish my office had take your corgi to work days too, but then I guess I wouldn't get a thing done either! LOL
Aww. Yours are so adorable! I didn't really think 'brave' was the word to describe it. 'Pitiful' is what my boyfriend said. Pitiful b/c they're too darn irresistable & because I couldn't bear the thought of just one against a whole heard of cats. Speaking of which, the boys are having a blast chasing the kitties. Tee hee. But yes, they are still BABIES. I'm loving every minute of 'em.
Thank you! Oh boy, if my cousin were a breeder, I think I'd have a real problem...lol I love Corgi AND Aussies. If my husband didn't have alimit of two at a time, I'd be "that crazy dog lady down the street"...lol We are currently on the hunt for a second and would like to rescue this time. Maci cam e from a great breeder here in NJ.
Hi Lori, Thank you, your corgis are so cute, I'll have to get some pics up also. They are your heart and soul aren't they. And you have to have at least 2 so they can play. Manhattan is a small town. Between Frankfort and Kankakee. I to am excited to be part of this corgi website. Talk with you later.
Your babies are adorable. I had never seen Corgi's here until I got Barney. He is just wonderful! My husband is disabled and I work. I feel much better leaving him home since Barney is there to keep him company. I miss them both so much during the day. I don't know who I am more excited to see when I get home. His little bunny butt is so cute!
I am new at this. If I do anything wrong, be gentle with me. I talk about Barney all the time. People that don't have a Corgi just don't get it. I thought it would be good to talk with others that understand what a blessing it is to have a Corgi.
Thanks for commenting on my boys' names (Monroe and DiMaggio). My dad is a huge Marilyn Monroe fan and he suggested the name when we found out that one of the pups was "blond". "DiMggio just seemed the way to go with the other one's name.LOL
Hi Lori,
Small world isn't it? Sure wish I'd know about your cousins in Tuscola when I started my "Amos hunt" ! I ended up at a small kennel in northern Missouri and am happy with my boy - but it sure took a long time to find the perfect little annoying short dog... Your guys look darling - the perfect kids. Love your site and thanks for the welcome!
Cathy
Welcome Lori, Cali and Cooper - have i already welcomed you? Anyway your babies are darling and I love how they look alike and even like the cat!! Carol, Lucky and Sonny
Hi Lori,
Cooper sounds like a clip, and a lot like Eliza! I used sour apple spray by the gallon (on wood Tabasco works better and lingers longer--it sounds mean, but all they need is a sniff.) I love your photos. Coop looks like he's pondering what to investigate next!! Does he have strong herding tendancies?
Liza is 21 months old and still chews on upholstery, wood , plastic, and wicker when she wants to play and I am otherwise occupied. She's esp. naughty when I am on the computer. The smart little girl quickly learned that I'd give her a rawhide from an upper shelf when she began chewing ..she'd chew, I'd look at her, and she'd look at the rawhide bag on the shelf. So Smart! As a wee puppy she was a canine slinky, almost impossible to hang onto--and very bitey--not mean-- it just took her a while to learn to pull her punches and she still mouths.. The trainer we worked with (who maintains she trains people, not dogs) uses the Gentle Leader and her own dogs in class. The G/L. is a great tool!. Never have I had and loved a more interesting and entertaining dog! Now that she has mellowed a bit, she is even--often -very sweet :)

Corgi Butts Drive Me Nuts! Have you ever heard "If it's not a Corgi, it's just a dog"? I shouldn't say that, because I love all dogs. Big ones, little ones, it doesn't matter. My only regret about getting Barney later in his life is that we didn't get to see him grow up. I bet he was so cute as a puppy.
My husband has been in the hospital for 10 days now. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have Barney to keep me company at night. He is getting used to being alone during the day. Russ is usually home with him since he is disabled. I'm proud of Barney for adjusting so well. My mom lets him out in the afternoon for me. Your pictures are great! Almost looks like Barney, but he has the saddle.
Thank you so much for your caring. I hope that you are both well now. Barney's world is upside down right now. He looks for his daddy when I come home. I feel bad leaving him in the morning when I have to go to work. He is getting used to it now I think. Thank goodness he isn't a naughty dog. Leaving him alone would be even harder. I was worried the first few days, because he would not eat or drink while I was gone. He is learning to eat now. I miss him so much right now! Just talking about him and seeing your pictures are tugging at my heart strings. Be safe and be well!
Hi Lori, Hunter is actually the dog on the left. I got him from a man in Oceanside, CA. However, he said he got him from a kennel on the east coast. He said maybe Kentucky but he couldn't remember. Maddi I adopted from the pound. Where she is from is anyone's guess. I love her just the same though. :)
thanx , for all the good thoughts and prayers ....all of them helped bring hannah home ...our life together is a work in progress .... emily , harvey . hannah & hattie
Thank you Lori. You have a couple of real cuties yourself. Then of coarse they are "Corgis" how can they not be adorable? Sooo much to love. Where are you located? Tell me, do the steps work well for your pups? I have been wanting to try them as I have one that jumps off the bed on occassion and I am afraid that she will injure her back or joints.
Lori: Thanks for the welcome. Cooper is the name we would have given to a male Corgi! Looks like Cooper loves "his kitty". No so much here. Our senior cat is a hisser and Tasha and she have a very difficult relationship. It's sort of a standoff. Haven't figured how to add pix yet; will do soon I hope.
Thanks Lori...that was really one of the nicest comments I've gotten. I'm kinda lost for words to show my appreciation. I like to help people and I love this breed and I do love what I'm doing. There are moments its overwhelming and I'm tired and think what the heck am I doing but then you go to spend some time with those innocent puppies who just think your the greatest thing on earth besides food, because they are Corgis, it really makes up for it. Even my adults..they are the best. Today I had them all in the back to play..tossing and kicking the balls around and I was tired since I had only gotten 3 hrs sleep and they were getting tired and sat under the tree so I decided I'll sit in the middle of the yard and soak up some rays. I don't think I fully hit the ground with my rear yet and here they all come piling on me. Sian is talkin away along with Winston, Meagan is climbing in my lap while Fergie is jumping on my arm, Kiara is singing arooo's, while Rhiannon does her little happy dance sounding like a motor bike and Layla tosses her ball to me like there is no sitting on the job MOM. LOL
sorry for the delay, I was on vacations, yes, all 7 are all right AND GROWING!! OMG THEY learn to bark a few days ago... bye to my peaceful home. LOL. I add some new puppies pics!
OMG!! I just saw the picture of Callie with her head sticking out from under the bed. Twinkie does that too! What is the deal with them squeezing under the bed to sleep? She only goes under my husband's side and most of the time its only a foot sticking out. They are certainly strange, wonderful little creatures!
I moderate my comments so I don't miss any since as you can tell, I don't get on here all the time and don't want to ignore someone just because of my lack of participation on here. I've been very busy this whole summer since we moved and then the two litters. I'm pretty much running circles and FB is where I'm at a lot since I can monitor it from my phone. Sam really needs to work on getting mycorgi mobile. hehe
hey Lori:) its ok about teddys birthday, i am glad you liked it! i tried to make the day as special as i could haha and i understand about being busy. ever since his birthday its been hard getting on the site since i have been so busy. and your welcome for the pics:) i hope they were ok, i really tried to make a video but i just couldn't figure it out lol silly me. i hope your fur baby has a wonderful birthday though! take care my dear friend:)
happy Birthday! its been awhile since we have talked lol and teddy is still in love with the tug-a-jug u sent us:) he carries it around everywhere he goes silly boy haha anyways i hope u have a wonderful day!!
Its ok don't worry, I totally understand. I'm so sorry go hear that your step dad died:( and that your sister lost her dog! I could imagine that must have been tough. All is well here but we have moved again, we now live in AR. Ah, the life of the military lol Teddy still lives his tug a jug. He carries it around with him when ever he goes, no Joke! And she. When Its time for food he brings it to me to fill as now he will not eat out of a bowl anymore lol
