About Me:
I 2 PWC's a 10 year old red headed tricolor named Buddha and my mom's corgi, Maddie, who is my away from me dog as she's not mine but I had trained her.
As of now we (Buddha and I) are in Nome, Alaska until mid October. The weather is perfect for this breed and the mountains, beaches and tundra are fun exercise for all. But we both miss grass and trees I think ;-) .
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
I own one red-headed tri male names Buddha who is the dog love of my life and first corgi. He really is a Buddha, patient, smart, loyal and I have yet to meet a person who doesn't love him. And also take care of and train my mother's PWC Maddie, a red and white female who is 2 years younger than Buddha and thinks she is a princess, everything is done on her terms.
I have:
Pembroke

Hi you are not far from us really.... did you get bad weather over Christmas?? We mostly just got rain!
  • Buddha

Oh my gosh! I never thought I would come across another buddha! He even looks like my sweet buddha! How did you decide on your pups name? I had just returned from Thailand and was on a huge buddhism kick, I also had anticipated that my pup would eventually be tubby so Buddha was a perfect name!

Happy New Year to you and yours. . . .

Thanks Katy...mine are loving the snow but I wish the weather would warm up too! It could be a looooong winter! Did you get ice before the snow like we did?????

  • Jane Christensen

Hi Katy! Today is the 1st day they could play with the balls outside...otherwise they were sinking....mine are very short with the others also and it sounds like more snow coming!

  • Jane Christensen

Hi Katy! The floors have linolium and all the windows open....we have a doggie door also but it's not installed yet! I am hoping to add a 2nd floor in part of it so they can look out the top windows! Oh and it is wired and has a motion light on the front.
  • Jane Christensen

It started as a goat shed and then we used an old garage for that so I wanted to use this for the dogs...they will have lots of fun and a 2nd big fence to run in which will include more of our grove....I hope!

    Hi Katy,

Nice to hear from you! We had a great time up north but never long enough! Sounds like you've been busy too! Sage and I will be at Ren Fest on Sat...she is beginning to think when I go she should also!

    Later,

    Hey Katy,

Things are going rather slow with Otis...he is dog aggressive and so we need to keep him separate. I have been gone visiting my grandkids and working extra so that hasn't helped. I only have to work 3 days a week for a bit so I will be able to work harder with him soon. the rest of the clan is doing fantastic. how far are you from Prior lake/ salvage? Just wondering  as I occasionally visit my niece there.

    Thanks for asking Katy!

Thanks Katy...between Tank licking Sage and the snow she's soaking wet. We only got maybe 1-2 inches. What about you??? Great Corgi weather though!!!

    How's the doggie problem doing?

  • Jane Christensen

Sage and I have Therapy Dog at Barnes & Noble today! We have an hour drive in good weather:( Oh well...it's winter in MN and the dogs love it. I think you did get some valuable info on your discussion. In spring I'll have to make it to Savage and we can meet someplace with the doggies!

That's a cute camo vest... but my taste would run more towards safety hunter orange.  A corgi looks like a fox, and I only trust 99% of the hunters.

  • Carol Rea

Love the vest!  Thank you for commenting on my corgis - even though our Lucky cannot walk due to IVDD (surgery 6 yr ago May) he is very active in his cart, running over everything that gets in his way including the cat and his "brother" Sonny!  Enjoy your corgi and the snow, our corgis just love the snow.  Carol, Lucky and Sonny

Hunting may be forbidden, but some people consider foxes varmints.  They are unprotected in some states, so anybody can shoot them.  A corgi in high grass looks like a fox.  It's not the *responsible* shooters we're worried about.  I put day-glo survey tape on their collars when we go hiking.

    Happy Birthday Katie!
  • Jane Christensen

    You're welcome Katy...sorry I spelt your name wrong...I work with a Katie!
