I hope you can get off work for the Illinois Corgi Picnic.  Did you ask for that Sunday off?

When you find out, please RSVP to the event on the MyCorgi main page.  I would like people to see that a lot of us will be attending and then they might be tempted to make an effort too.  So far we have 13 Corgis coming and a few dog siblings.  I hope you can make it.

GREAT!  I see you got off work!

I read your profile and am glad that you did your part to rescue Simon from a puppy mill.  Did the group give you any info about the puppy mill he was in?  Maybe you tell me about it at the park next week.

It was so nice meeting you and Simon at the picnic. He is such a handsome and gentle corgi. Our corgis -Jeter and Cappy- had so much fun and they look so cute with Simon. Hope to see you guys again.

We just got home a few minutes ago.  I thought Simon was beautiful.

I am glad I got to meet another Veggie at our picnic.

    More later!

It is always great to meet another veggie.  (I have been a veggie since 1989.)  Next year we will have to decide who brings the black bean salad!  Your boy is so beautiful.  I love his polka dotted ear!

I am NOT an organizer so I was very stressed out that things would not go well.  I tried to think through everything and probably was a bit of a pest.  If we keep the picnic similar next year, that will take a lot of the work out of it.  I wasted a lot of time researching other parks close to Chicago only to be disappointed with each park in the end.  Freeport was very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I had hoped we would get 20 Corgis, but we ended up with 16.  Not bad.

Hey Heather, glad to hear you plan to attend this year's Illinois Corgi Picnic!

Didn't you bring the Black Bean Salad last year??  (So did I!)

Remember last year I said that we will have to decide who can bring it this year since the 2 dishes were almost the same.  I am trying a new recipe for our dog training potluck, if it goes over well, I might bring that instead.
