I am a color layout artist working alongside my husband, an illustrator and author. We welcomed Ace to our home on the 3rd of September 2011 and he has been a cherished family member since day one. We hope to share many years of happiness with him!
We also welcomed Lady, a tricolour Border Collie on the 27th of September 2012. She and Ace get along splendidly and I hope the two of them can compete in dog sports with me when the time comes!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Pynewoode's Ace of Hearts (called Ace) - a male blue merle Cardigan born on the 6th of May 2011
Hawaiian Lady des Côtes Volcaniques (called Lady) - a female black tricolour Border Collie born on the 29th of July 2012
Thanks for the picture and congratulations on the new puppy! They look both beautiful and playful. We are picking up Lulu this Sun afternoon (YES!!). Very excited about that. When would you get your puppy? What is the name by the way?
I admire your training ability. I thought I was doing pretty good until I realized that I needed to train them standing up! I was sitting in front of them originally and they did great, but from my standing position they didn't know what I wanted!:)
Retraining it is!
Ace is very handsome! I checked out your photos on flickr, very nice. I am not a snake person but you have some beautiful pythons, and quite a house full of pets. Have fun with your cardi, we have a pemmi and talk about one day adding a cardi.
It made me laugh-short and cute.. Didn't even think about that until you said it:) I was thinking earlier it was a bit too short, but I was on the chat on here earlier and Jen, Yuki & Ellie gave me a super cute nickname-Twixter.. I love it!!:D
I love your photos! Thanks again for the site!!! Mason has his quirks, and it's interesting to see where he fits next to the standard. I also like looking at the ones who don't fit standard and wondering how thy happen!!! Haha there was one with a BULLDOG thick neck on there!
I couldn't agree with you more about the Pacific NW. Of course I complain about the rain, but I love it here. I grew up in OR and went to college in OH and I missed the ocean and the mountains while I was gone. I'm more of a beach girl than the moutains, but either way, this is a beautiful area to live in.
How is it we aren't friends yet :-P I sent you a friend request so I could send you a message about raw :-D My opinions are mostly based on nutritional deficits I've seen as well as MANY hospitalized patients due to bacterial infections and perforations from raw bones and the evolution of domestic dogs as well. Just lots of stuff that make me lean more to the "no" side of things and not enough to convince me its something I want to do with my dogs.
It is nice to hear from you and Ace. I am glad that you are doing well. Lulu is a BIG girl w/ 35 pounds! My husband has spoiled her too much by giving her too many foods. But our vet has suggested her to lose 5 pounds. So Lulu is currently on a diet. Overall, Lulu is very friendly to people, dogs, and cats. We call her "social butterfly"! But she is a BAKER and CHEWER, which is very annoying. But we are working on training her. Anyway, it is nice to hear from you and Ace.
Just stopped by to say that I think Ace is absolutely GORGEOUS. I love his markings and I have been reading your blogs on him and it looks like he is getting a lot better with socialization! It's so good that you take the time to properly train him as he deserves. Kudos to you!
My corgis all do well with the chicks but Wynn is the baby chick dog as he is so very gentle. He starts by checking them everyday with me and now at 6 weeks of age he is getting them used to dogs being around and outside for bits of time. The other dogs will leave them alone shen they get bigger but I don't trust them yet. I have had a couple mishaps though one with a rescue corgi and when our Aussie caught one in his mouth and stood there not knowing what to do...but over the coarse of 8 years 1 injured and 1 fatality isn't too bad. The chicks do run and crab at the corgis occasionally:)
yea, she is a good girl. She is a very clumsy puppy at the moment. Being only a year and about 9 months she still has a lot of puppy in her but we love her to bits. How old is Ace now? He still looks like a little puppy, I love the picture you have on here. That hat looks adorable on him.
well it's okay for him to be a little shrimpy though! Macy was the runt of her litter so she is pretty little compared to her brothers and sisters that I saw pictures of. At 6 months they are about the size that she is now.
I've watched your videos of Ace and his tricks and it is so amazing!! The tricks he can do are awesome I can't believe you were able to teach him all that. I have a 3 month old pembroke named Rocky, and i'm wondering how did you start teaching him? what were his first tricks?
