Personally I would not rule out getting another Corgi BUT I would be very careful when finding a new one. I would asked for references and find out much more about the breeder and the dogs and pups...just because they are members of clubs etc. I would find out what the dogs are like. It could be that it was something with the wiring but there are some breeders that will breed a less desirable dog to get the perfect "look: or whatever they might want.
Corgis are fine alone as long as they are socialized well and I suggest classes. May you find the perfect Corgi...they are out there:)
