We are a young couple in our fiftys. Our two legged kids are out on thier own so we devote most of our free time to our four legged ones. We have three, a Great Dane (Joni Bell) a Collie Lab mix (Ollie Ann) and our Corgi Fence Climber mix, (BEAR). We are contractors with United Van Lines and travel all over the U.S.A.. Although, we leave the girls home with the house/dog sitter, Bear never leaves our side.
We rescued Bear from death row at our local dog pound and we both truly believe that he knows it. He is the most loyal dog either of us have ever known and almost always does everything he is told to do. Although, if he does not want to do as he is told he becomes stiff and moves very slow. We call it the robot walk.
Last year Petsmart had a photograph of a Corgi on the cover of it's calender that looked just like Bear and it is our wish to find the owner of the Cover Dog and and hopefully get some mix information.
Thanks for explaining who's who - one never knows. Our household has 5 dogs, 2 of whom are named after foods - Apple and Toast - which keeps folks guessing, too.
Anyway, hi to all 3 of you - and no question, Bear is one adored and handsome guy!
ya i was looking at your pics and i was like man it takes me an arm and a leg to get ruger to stay for a photobut its cause he is only 8weeks old but your dog sits in front of all this stuff and poses in clothes its super cool love it
Bear is absolutely real something! It is so much fun to watch all the photos, I can watch them over and over. I am looking forward to seeing more pictures of Bear...
Thanks for the welcome. I'm planning to move back to the PNW next spring, so I'll have to wait until after that to look into finding a senior corgi who needs me.
Wonderful slide show, Tammy, I could hardly pull my eyes away to write a note! Caven is certainly a well traveled, well behaved, good-natured pup. Real eye candy, too.
Tammey, when you get to be my age, you start thinking long-range. I have two 4-year-old Meezers that I know will outlive me and it worries me. My 8-1/2-year-old Lab mix rescue, Molly, has worked out great, though she has no idea she's that old and still acts like a puppy most of the time.
Hi, and we agree completely! We're enjoying our little girl Corgi mix. So much energy, so smart, and so darn cute. Bear looks like a fun little pup, too. Great pictures!
thank you tammey and caven...our prof ile pic is in memory of boo boo our 12 1/2 year old boy we lost a month ago of heart failure..it broke our hearts it was so suden..now we have a 9 year old tri boy named ziggy who we think is developing DM...if anyone has a comment please tell us what to expect or do to help him..thank you..rick

Thanks for your welcome message - Caven is one cute dog, and it looks like you went to Sand Dunes National Park - or is that sand somewhere else?
Reminds me of all the snow we have on the ground, here in northern New England - yikes!

Corgi mixes do rule.
If I ever want another dog, it will have to be a corgi mix.
