Thanks for your comment on my video. I'm glad you enjoyed it. These two kids are my grandchildren and they wanted me to take the video so they could watch it on YouTube at home. I guess you'll be getting your Corgi puppy soon. She looks very cute. I would be as anxious as you awaiting the new arrival. I remember when I got my first Corgi "Jake" at 10 wks. old. (Sept. 2008) I was so excited and couldn't wait either. Now he is 3 yrs. old and now I have 3 Corgis. My how time passes. Take lots of pictures. I love looking at all the different Corgis. Congrats!!!
Bundle of fur is right, haha, he is shedding so much right now! Other than that, he is doing great! We just started some obedience classes and started taking daily walks for his chunky butt!
I do still have it. Just send me your address in a private message and I'll get it out to you on Monday. I'll include my address with the scarf so you can send a donation back to me :)
Thank you for the kind comment!! I know, that is what everyone tells me, just wait for 6 months! All I can say is, I can't wait for it to have been a few months. I am just trying to take it day by day.
Thanks for the comment!! I know, I didn't want to leave her tied up to a sign post (even though it was only for about 3 minutes) and I am going to try not to make a habit of it. But I am glad to know she won't run away (my biggest fear!) for a moment like this.
Thank you so much for the comment. I didn't know banana's were okay for dogs! I really do need to work on crate training like how you explained as it seems to vary a lot on the whining and barking when I leave, some days are better then others. I am going to work on that next week! Thanks so much for the advice:-).
Thank you very much for the toy recommendation! I need to get some more food tonight, so I am going to look for this toy, so I can see it in person. But if they don't have it, I'll probably buy it online in the new year, as anything less then $10 is worth the risk in investment. Poppy is a chewer, but not too bad. I don't feel uncomfortable leaving the kong in her pen unsupervised at all.
Poppy will most definitely be spoiled now that I am back from vacation; she gets to spend the next 6 days with me as I don't have to go to work (well, I am actually here right now, but I got to take her with me today!).
I've had Corgis for more years than I like to think about but I'm always learning new things. That's why I love this site. Your Christmas tree and your dogs are beautiful.
As a first time dog owner, I'll take any advice!! Very interesting re: the barking out of nowhere. That is totally what it seems like is happening. We rarely run into people in the hall, but when we do, she goes nuts, like she is protecting her area!
And I got the IQ ball today! I can't wait to try it out!
I was feeding her Science Diet (because there was a corgi on the bag, hehe, and the kibble is small) and then switched to Wellness because of the reccs and she reacts the same to it (but the price, oy!). I think I may also have been over feeding her a little bit too because the vet said she could use some weight on her when I first got her from the shelter, but it's been nearly 2 months now, so maybe I could/should cut back.
One of the dogs in the class LOVES banana's too (as do I:-)) so maybe I'll try that when we train. What kind of meat do you use? I think I am going to rotate the dog treats too and see what happens.
Thanks as always for your comments and suggestions!
Thanks for the comment!! Seriously, first time I am doing any of this and am open to any and all advice!!
Vague is okay, I know I was being vague too as I didn't want to be too gross (my family is getting really annoyed with me whenever they ask me about the dog I talk about her digestion:-)) but your comments about very soft stool/diarrhea hit the nail on the head with what her poo looks like after (and today before) daycare. I already called another place to get her eval'd but I am debating if I should take her to the regular place tomorrow or just skip it all this week. I don't know.
Hey Jen, thanks for the message! We had all been wondering where you were and had begun to worry. Glad you are okay, and hope things will improve soon.
