About My Corgi(s):
Shippo is an 11-year-old "fluffy" male Pembroke Welsh Corgi, who is also my first Canine Good Citizen! Despite what many people may think, Shippo is absolutely purebred. He just has a genetic coat mutation which makes his fur longer than the average corgi.

Koga is also a fluffy Pembroke, like Shippo, but has a glorious fluffy tail! He's 11 1/2 months old.

Both dogs enjoy Barn Hunt - Shippo has sevral titles now and has made it to Senior class. Koga is just starting out, but has his first trial soon. =)

    Tell me about it. We just got a whole bunch of foster puppies from Kansas, all of which are on medications, and are not allowed to be around our other dogs, and make messes in their kennels all the time. I used to like puppies before these guys came along. haha. and the clashing of opinions at Golden is really everyone's opinion against our boss's, therefore our opinion pretty much doesn't even count. so, shippo is pretty much the most adorable fluffy ever (and the pics you took of him are excellent by the way)! does he like going to camp with you? daxter tends to be either the boss of the yard, or the clown. haha

    Suggestion for your collars: have a blank white nylon writing area so people can write their cell phone# & email addy in Sharpie pen. We returned 2 lost dogs promptly in a really remote area because we happened to have cellphone coverage, and the # was stamped on their collars.

    For comfort, I tried to minimize weight, hardware and noise so I replaced the chain with perlon. I'm nervous about the plastic bayonet buckles, a weakness: plastic ages, and they do break (after long hard use). My system is inconvenient and maybe not customer-friendly: you start out with an adjustment buckle, then remove it and stitch down when you've finalized the sizing. You can make minor adjustments by varying the length of the perlon loop (use a water knot or fisherman's knot).

    Hello!!! Yes, I remember you and Shippo!!  Welcome back!!!  As of March 6, 2012, its been a year since we adopted Tucker, he such a sweetheart.  Its amazing how he fit in since day one!!!

    Shippo is such a pretty boy.  I'm on my second fluff but Randy is a shorter fluff than his great aunt that I had but he is heat intolerant as she was.  So we work on coolness.

    Hi Cheetah,  Randy just became 18 months on the 25th.  The breeder thought he would be just a red but he kept the black around the mouth and some on the back.  Previously, he had those 2 sorta black rings from the white under the neck but those are less prominent. Currently, he has been clipped because of heat intolerance.  If we had the same kind of summer as last year, I will be clipping frequently.  I hate for him to grow up but it would be nice if he weren't so hyper!  But he is my baby.

    Hi Cheetah,

    Shippo is a very handsome fellow.  I have a fluffy boy, Randy whose hair is not as long as Shippo but this year his hair seems unruly and hard to control.  In the past, I have used an old Oster shampoo with some of my conditioner and shampoo thrown in and he has looked good but not so this year.  I wonder if you would tell me what you use on Shippo's coat that tames it so nicely?  I would like to have Randy looking prettier.
