    Stephanie,

Your Corgi Grandchild will be the perfect age next year for the Corgi picnic.

I noticed that you are from Champaign.  I am also from Champaign.  In May of this year I had an event called CORGI-CON at the Urbana dog park.  We had 23 Corgis at that first CORGI-CON, so I plan to do it again in 2013.  Keep an eye on the events page in the spring.  I would LOVE to see the new Corgi at that.  CONGRATS on the puppy!

    Hello and Welcome!!

Hi Stephanie!! I'm not sure where to look-- was it in the blog, forum or event section? If you're worried about having named me, no big deal. I don't mind! Mistakes happen.... :-)
If you need to find it for another reason, you can always try to mail Sam Tsang, he can find it for you. If you give me an idea what section you saw it in, I can try too...I'll keep searching in the meantime...I'll let you know if I find it, if not, let me know where you think it was.

AAAAHHHHH...just had a brain fart!  If you scroll on your page where it shows your activity (where it says you replied to a posting) there is a hyperlink.  Yours says "Stephanie commented on LA Stewart's event Illinois Corgi Picnic in Freeport".  Click on the writing that I underlined here...it will take you directly to the posting.  Sorry I haven't responded sooner, I am horrible about checking my page, and haven't been on here alot lately--my dad's in the hospital...hope this helps!!

    THANKS for the RSVP.

NOW we just have to hope for good weather that day.  Last year we got lucky.

I sent the flyer for CORGI-CON to your E-mail.

I realized my mistake last night after I started looking people up on MyCorgi.

I wrote Gina today and told her that I have another of the Corgi keychains that I gave to the couple from Tinley Park.  I offered to mail it to her.  So, if she sends me her address I can send her the keychain.

Had a great time yesterday.  Kallie is adorable!

I felt like I did not have enough time to visit with everyone.  I was trying to welcome every new person that arrived and help them with the park district forms, etc.  I had to spread myself thin.  I wish we had more time to visit.

I am not sure, but I am leaning toward skipping it this year.

Freeport has a great dog park, but it is so far from here and that makes the planning a bit tricky.  I wish someone in that area would take it over.  Also, the woman that helped me with it the last 2 years has not been on MyCorgi recently.  I sent her a message on MyCorgi in early June and an E-mail to see if she was interested in working on another Illinois Picnic, but have gotten no reply.

My September is booked!  That means we would have to try early October...  I guess I am not too motivated.  Part of that is because I had last year's picnic all planned and then the weather made us cancel it at the last minute.

    Stephanie,

I loved running into you and your son at the CCHS Santa Photo Shot.  It was such a nice surprise to see your son's 2 Corgis when we walked in!  Your picture turned out wonderfully.

Your new little boy ( I forgot his name) is adorable and is such a big boy!  Kallie is so sweet the way she greeted me and loved me up.

I wanted to write today and say hello and found that I did not have you on my "Friends" list yet.  If you are interested in connecting, let me know.  I must confess that in the winter time I rarely look at My Corgi.  I tend to get involved in the spring when there are events to list in our area.

Hope to see you guys out again...in warmer weather!

That is just like my Wynne and Will.  They have the same smom and different dads.

I like the name Thor especially now that you explained it.  Will is a barker and the name Thor would suit him as well.  I love that Miss Wigglebottom When She Walks part.  Very true!

I hate winter as well.  This December is starting off way too cold.   I keep telling my husband that I am moving south.  I don't think I could get him to leave with dynomite!

    I'm off to work! Lisa

    Stephanie,

I have not been on MyCorgi for a long time now.  I just found your friend invite.

Hope you are enjoying your Christmas.  At least the snow is gone.  It's too cold, however.  The other day we sent the Corgis out to potty in the fenced in backyard and Will got so cold he just layed down.  He would not move.  My husband had to go out and get him.  Poor dogs!

I can't believe how cold it is.  Wynne and Will both have had trouble with their feet.  They will go out to potty and all of a sudden they stop and won't move.  We think it is because they can't feel their feet or perhaps their feet hurt.  Once inside and they warm up they are fine.  No going out just for fun today.  Yesterday they liked the snow and the temparature was OK, so I let them run and play out in the snow several times.

    Stephanie,

I sent an E-mail to Kevin and a note on MyCorgi.  I have had no reply, but I am not sure I have a current E-mail for him and I have noticed that he does not comment much on MyCorgi.

I want to know if he is interested in some of my old Corgi T-shirts and a Corgi hoodie.  In the last 22 months I have lost 125 pounds, so I have lots of clothes I am giving to Goodwill, etc.  I would like to find someone who WANTS the Corgi shirts rather than have them sit at Goodwill. I thought of Kevin.  Do you think he would be interested?  I plan to bring the items to CORGI-CON.  I thought I would offer them first to him.  Then give Charles from the Corgi Fun Days a chance at them.  Then I will just put them out on a table to let anyone have them.

If you get this comment, please ask Kevin if he is interested in my hand me downs.

    See you Saturday!

We will see you Saturday at the Wisconsin Corgi Picnic!

    The weather should be great!

I had a German Shepherd that was terrified of thunder, so I understand everyone leaving when it started.  Then the weather was fine for a while after everyone took off. Jim and I had everything packed up and were ready to leave when about 7 more Corgis showed up all of a sudden.  At least 3 of these people told me that they were from the Chicago area.  They told me that the traffic was so bad on 57 because it was only one lane and there were many cars traveling to the Uof I graduation.  I felt bad that there were so few Corgis for their dogs to play with.  Probably 1/2 hour to an hour later it stared POURING!  We all took cover in our cars and then left around 3:30.  I know they were disappointed.  I hope they will give us another chance next year.  Next year will be the 5th annual CORGI-CON.  I hope the weather is good and we get a huge crowd.

Loved visiting with your family.  See you in Wisconsin if the weather is good that day.

I told everyone that I could about the Wisconsin Picnic, especially the people from Chicago.  I thought the same as you.  If they will drive all the way to Champaign, they might drive to Wisconsin as well.
