About Me:
My name is Whitney Hamm and I'm from Joplin, MO. I'm new to the corgi world. I adopted my first corgi in the summer of 2010. Jasper was amazing and I loved him so, so much. Sadly he died from Addison's disease, a genetic disorder, only a few months ago in September. He was only 4 years old. I made the choice to adopt another pembroke, Ariel, in October. Who knew this little girl would bring so much laughter and joy into my life?
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Ariel is around four years old. When she was adopted out of the humane society she had a severe case of kennel cough, which quickly developed into pneumonia. She slept through most of her first few weeks with me.

After the illness passed, I began to see the true Ariel. First I should probably note that Ariel is a Pembroke corgi. A small Pembroke! She's only about 22 pounds. She's a lap corgi in every sense of the word. She actively seeks out petting and will go to any length to get what she wants. She'll howl to be sure you noticed her and roll around on the floor to show off her tummy (tummies attract petting). If all else fails, she'll just jump onto the sofa and bulldoze her way into your lap. (or strategically position herself in the seat next to you, if you happen to be eating)
I have:
Pembroke

    This is a corgi site, so we must whisper when talking about Springers. Marty is lovely, it is nice of you to take care of her, and good for the dogs to have playmates. Jack is 9, but he doesn't know it, he still bounces and plays. Nothing like a puppy, though!  We got Snickers to be a playmate for him. I told my son to pick out a big corgi, so they would be closer to the same size. Good thing we got the runt, a big corgi would just run him over, he is very sweet and gentle. He was the first to make Dolly welcome and get her to play. Dolly never played with my mom's other dogs, but she likes mine.

    Your girl is a good looking corgi.  You are to be complemented for getting her through her illnesses.
