I'm an animal science alumni from LSU (c/o 2010), i love all dogs and I've just moved to Stephenville, TX for graduate school. I have my hansom corgi Toby (Tobias Maximus), a Shiba Inu named Meiko (Dr.Meiko Porkbuns) and a Siamese kitten named Marshall ("Marshmallow" Eriksen) <3 ;)

About My Corgi(s):
I adopted my first corgi, Toby, from the 4 Paws Society in Sulphur, LA in August of 2009. His full name is Tobias Maximus Decimus Meredius. He is around 4 yrs old (DOB 7-7-07) and is the mellow-ist dog i've ever met. Toby enjoys laying on my center console during car rides, hanging out on the balcony, playing with Princess Toki, Doobie, Duncan, Conan, and all his new corgi krewe friends, dogparks, taking over my bed, and tiger football...oh, did i mention taking over my bed?, I would put that in his top 3...Toby will play-off when he trips or can't jump over something and he loves to show off his new treats/toys by throwing and catching them.

    Hi... nice to add you to my friends list. I see you may be local here in B.R. I saw Toby on the Petfinder website and I'm glad he got a good home! Your Toby reminds me of my "grandpup" Ein ... he's a bluie. I do like Toby's markings and my Nick is also tricolor but with a mostly brown head. He has what look like "spectacles" running around his eyes and back to his ears. I don't see many Corgis around here and from comments I get from folks when we are out walking they don't usually see many either. They are very intelligent and challenging dogs sometimes... but mine is a sweetheart and I'm glad I was able to rescue him. I find that with adopting an older dog at least you have an idea of their personality from their caretakers. Good Luck with him and thanks for the invite!

    I know we need a play date! Toki misses big T! Your thanksgiving break sucks! I think we get a week off? Depending on how Deangelos goes I would like to make a trip out to BR maybe around thanksgiving? We can do dog park!! But still depends... Codys been working crazy hours...     Hi Morganne! Toby is adorable. He looks so much like Mr. Spock (with more of the sable). He's Mr. Spock without a tail!

    I hope you can come to the Krewe Des Chiens parade in February. Mr. Spock was selected to be the King of the Krewe (a raffle) and we're going to have our first ever Krewe of Corgis marching!

    Thanks for the nice comment about Dudley. I like his eyeliner too! You can't see very well in the pictures but his eyes are multi colored with the outside part being blue and the part closest to his nose being brown. That, along with the eyeliner gives him a perpetual look of wonderment that I just love.
    Your tri Pem is a handsome, happy fellow, isn't he? Who's his red and white friend? Dudley has two friends in the neighborhood, a Basset Hound and a Parson's terrier.

    We had such fun at the Lafayette Dog Park with you and Toby today. Mr. Spock and Toby look like sibs, except for the tail :) I'm glad to see that Toby is both and LSU and A Saints fan. He IS does wear the Saints colors in his fur after all. Merry Christmas to you both! We look forward to more good times (and the Krewe Des Chiens) in 2010.

    ANywhos, I really REALLY want to go to the dog walk this year... buuuuut...
    You know we're going to Celebration V this year and that's all the way in Orlando...
    Soooo.... We are maybe doing the plan to save money, we're talking to them Sunday and will determine from there, I guess we're going to move as soon as possible. So we may have a whole bunch money saved up by April or we might not, depends... I know Cody said he did want to go this year so he might just surprise me and be all positive about it. It depends on where our finances are at that time. <--- my answer :P

    Do your research on the Shibas. They have SUCH different personalities than Corgis! She and Nigel are both rescues. That is where the similarities end. Katsu is very independent, stubborn and really does not care if she pleases you or not! She is kind of like a cat in that way. She is very graceful, agile and "lady-like". She was a little difficult to train because she is so stubborn AND smart. Nigel pretty much wants to do what you ask. Nigel and Katsu are great buddys. They play constantly, but Katsu is the boss.
