I actually didn't know there was a dog park in Groton! We've only been to the one in Waterford. But I'm sure Frodo would love to meet your dogs. We've never met another Corgi, but he tends to play well with other dogs (as long as they're not to big, but with Corgis, that's not really an issue!)
We will have to figure out a time! Hopefully when there's a LITTLE less snow
Do they have separate areas for big dogs and small dogs? Frodo can hold his own with the big dogs (or at least he thinks he can), but it makes me a little nervous sometimes. I love having them separated. We have a rather small dog park in our apartment complex, and people let any dog loose in there. We have almost gotten attacked by some of the big, out of control dogs people let in there, and I've talked to others who were not so lucky.
Frodo's been making me so sad with the snow lately. Since we had that icy layer on top of everything, he has been having the hardest time walking, slipping and sliding everywhere. Normally, we don't mind snow, but we are both so sick of it by now. I fully support waiting, and I'm sure Frodo won't mind either.
That's so cute! Frodo is very happy we can finally see grass again. He automatically runs for the spots of grass where the snow has melted.
I'm the same way at the park. For some reason, it does seem to be those same breeds of big dogs that make Frodo upset. The last time we went to the dog park, a German Shepard was in with the big dogs on the other side of the fence. Frodo went nuts and kept trying to challenge him. They ended up racing, both of them as close to their side of the fence as they could be. They just kept going up and down because every time they'd stop, one of them would start growling again. I was very proud, though, because Frodo kept winning the races! I do feel kind of bad taking him in with the small dogs, though. Frodo really is such a big dog, he just doesn't look like one!
