Welcome Teresa and Happy! Can't wait to see pictures of your pup. One of ours, just was put out for barking for no reason (well, he may have had one! We used to say that he was our trash talker) Carol, Lucky and Sonny

Welcome Teresa! What is your corgi's name? Wow, hospice...you people are angels. My mother passed away in May, spending her last 6 days at hospice. I don't know how you do it. The staff was simply amazing.

Thank you, Teresa; I appreciate it. I was amazed we got that picture with Sidney and the shades, hehe. He's such a good boy! Except when he wants to play with the kitty. Then he won't listen for anything!

OMG! sounds terrible, he was put out on the porch! Yes, sonny loves to sleep on his back with legs up, Lucky used tobut cant't anymore. I didn't notice before that you are an RN with hospice - I think I used to be one of the very few registered dietitians with hospice! When we moved to Central Oregon, I inquired about a dietiain working with them (volunterr, of course!) and they could not see what a dieitian could offer their orgnization...so, they are out of luck - I have yrs of knowledge and experience!! good luck with corgis and hospice

Good luck to Baron as a Hospice corgi! I have come across another Hospice corgi on this site somewhere, if I remember who he or she belongs to, I will let you know.

My son took our first corgi to a nursing home and an adult foster home for visits, the residents loved the corgi, I think Odie was a novelty because of his "no legs" Just read about Barons limping, I hope he is doing better.

thank you for your friend request! Slow on the draw tonight, noticed after I left the first message (granddaughter running me ragged)

Socks are a lot of fun! Our crippled one loves to sit and FRAP with socks, our dearly departed Odie loved Mikes socks and my undies, even the cat gets in the act - but waits til all is folded gets in the basket and digs around and then sleeps, then we can do it all again. Sometimes I wonder why we spend money on toys, we could just buy socks!
  • Carol Rea

He sounds just like our Odie was (he was a red and white too) Until we rescued Lucky, Odie chased the 3 cats - my dialysis patients thougt it so funny when we took him to doggie day care so he would know he was a dog! Our current cat loves these dogs, i think she thinks she's a dog. I've decided to save the holey (technical term) socks and give them to Lucky to sit and FRAP with (he doesn't get the undies!

Odie loved it! It kept him busy, he made new friends, etc, When we rescued Lucky I decided to stop the day care and have a neighbor who thought she was their aunt come in and check on them when I was at work. That was the neighbor who saved Lucky - she came over and found him totally down! A quick call to me at work, a quick call to the vet who call a neuro vet, and i was on my way with Lucky to have his surgery! Good neighbor!!!
