About My Corgi(s):
My husband and I own 3 wonderful Pembroke Welsh Corgi's; Sampson, Rusty & Shiloh. We adopted Sampson in 2004 when we needed a companion dog for our border collie / Brittany Spaniel mix, Delilah. He was living with an older couple with 2 bull terriers who beat him up constantly so he was living his life in a cage. Luckily they decided to give him to us and we've loved him ever since. In the winter of 2008, Sampson suffered a severe perineal hernia that required a $2000 surgery to fix. However, we were told at the time that the hernia was so severe, it was likely to reoccur. Unfortunately, the hernia has reoccured and he needs more surgery before 2012. As my husband and I work part-time in the service industry and live paycheck to paycheck, we don't have a few thousand dollars saved away in an emergency fund. We have set up a ChipIn website to help raise money for his surgery. Please click on the link below to read Sampson's full story and make donations via pay-pal. We are grateful for any donation, no matter how small. Sampson, his buddies Shiloh & Rusty, as well as their human family thank you!

    Welcome Sheri, Sampson, Rusty & Shiloh. It is so great that you rescued Sampson. Good luck with your fundraising. We were in a similar position when Sidney needed surgery for his hip dysplasia last year.

    Hi Sheri,

    For Sidney, I made bandanas and gave them as a thank you gift in exchange for a donation to Sidney's fund. You can't technically sell them unless you have hte business licenses, but you can give them away for a voluntary donation. It didn't make a lot, but it did help.
