Welcome Cheri! Your corgi is adorable!
  • Cheri

Dudley and me watching the action at a NADAC agility trial. At 7 months, he's a big boy!
  • Sam Tsang

wow! 7mos? He IS a big boy :)
  • Cheri

yup, he's a bruiser. He's nine months now and while he's not gotten a lot bigger, he's getting heavier, filling out. He's up to 30 pounds right now.

    Beautiful dogs!
Seeing your cardigan really makes me want one!!!
  • Cindi

Double love your doggies! Yep, Dudley's a big one. Would love to have another cardi, but they're hard to find here. Only one breeder in Alabama. I'm saving my pennies!
  • Zed

Love Dudley! He's quite the big boy and those colors are great.

Dudley reminds me so much of my Cardi boy Traum in looks! Who is his sire and dam if I may ask? I'm sure they are close related!
  • Emily Rose

Here is Traums 3 generation ped: http://www.dreameyce.com/Traum/TraumsPedigree.htm

I'll look up your pups parents :) I don't have their peds memorized!
  • Emily Rose

It doesn't look like they are closely related. I think Traum gets most his looks from the Davenitch line (Based on looking at pics, and meeting some other dogs in that line), and I don't think Dudley has them close in at least (From what I found in a quick search)
  • Emily Rose

So that's the 1/4 of the ped I couldn't find!! heehee I was able to find all but the sire side of his moms ped in my quick search.
  • Cheri

So let's see, what does a common link through Inkling make them? Second cousins? Let me think. Kallel and Blues N TH Nite would be step brother and sister and their kids would be cousins. that would make Dudley and Myste Hide and Seek 1st cousins. So they must be second cousins?
  • Emily Rose

Traum looks like Phi-Vestavia Kallel (Who is actually named 'Klark'), so much it's scary! I met Klark at a show a few years back, and KNEW they were related! I wished I had Traum with me, to get side-by-side pics!

I have pics of Klark I took somewhere. Klark too never finished... Like my beloved Traum ;) Traum is a GREAT dog, just not show dog material.
  • Emily Rose

Something like that, and they LOOK closer! heehee Body, and head-wise they could be 1/2 siblings! heehee

Here is a pic I took of Klark: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v200/eagleseye_rats/traumgpa.jpg I wish I'd gotten more then! Traum is like a carbon copy of Gpa Klark :)
  • Emily Rose

I got Traum for show and preformance, but haven't had the funds for performance training and competition since I had a baby in '04 :)

Hopefully when my daughter is older I can atleast put a CD and RN on Traumy, if not more! If not my new pup Galaxy actually has more promise, and drive than Traum in both the performance, and conformation rings. I've had to take a break on dog shows with the kiddo, but still attend, and occasionally show for other people.
  • Emily Rose

I was bit by the dog show bug as a kid, before I had to pay my own bills.... sadly as I'm paying my bills, the love for showing, and preforming with dogs hasn't gone away! heehee I used to train dogs, during college to help cover my 'habit', but since it's hard to get insurance while self employed I had to get a 'real job' ;0P Now I just train on occasion, as needed!

It really does cost a lot to do agility, and show in general. Each time I put in an entry, that's $50+ for a weekend. OUCH! Hubby went back to school right after we had our daughter, and is about to get into grad school.

I'd love to make something of Dudley! heehee It's so funny how much he looks like Traumy!
  • Emily Rose

I love spinning, but I can barely knit! heehee, I mostly just use a loom if I want to make something ;0P

Sadly Traum has almost NO undercoat, so I've barely gotten any fiber from him. I think I'm the only Corgi owner who WISHES her dog shed! haha

Traum loves my fiber too. I can't wash fleeces, or bring them home without him trying to 'herd' them! heehee He'll collect fiber if he can, and lay on it. Needless to say, I try to keep my fiber stash locked up tight! LOL

Hope everything is going well with Dudleys rehab. Best wishes to Taffy too. ;)
