Mom to three two legged boys and two four legged boys - my adopted blue merle cardigan welsh corgi, Bailey, and his best friend, my beautiful red lab Rhett.
About My Corgi(s):
Bailey is my baby- six months old - blue merle cardigan welsh corgi with one "dappled" eye, white socks and chest and a white mohawk. Half the time we're ears UP, the other half we're ears "dropped". Our fingers are crossed that the UP will win out. Born in the SPCA, I saw Bailey on the SPCA's website when he was five weeks old and ran for the phone. He loves his toys, loves his best friend Rhett, and loves herding my cats (who don't particularly like being herded). Bailey's the *man*. :)
Welcome, Thank You for the compliments. Lance had one ear that was floppy, our vet had suggested massaging the ear while he was laying in my lap with his ears downwards. The vet said it was just the muscle in the ear. It seemed to work for Lance.
Bailey is just adorable, as you can see I've got one of "those" too. Ask your breeder for the instructions for taping the ears up for a few days, I had to do it with Pumpkin and she looked like Minnie Mouse, but it worked!
Bailey is just to cute snuggled under those covers!!
We had to tape boo's ears. I would not let my husband take pictures of him with all of that masking tape on those un naturally large ears, it seemed cruel. Had I know what a clown he would grow up to be I would have made a flyer of him and his big taped ears and posted them all over town....HAHAHAHAHAHA
PS: He grew into the ears and feet - he's a healthy boy.
Check out the picture on my page of boo at 5 months-expect Bailey's feet and ears to grow more. His mother, which we also own is so petite compaired to da boy. You got to love them they are such clowns.
The Bailey's Ears Report - Well folks we have one up, one down. The One Up has a tendency still to bend but is more up than down! One down looks like it *wants* to stay up but can't figure out how yet. We have hope that there is permanent perkiness on the horizon!!! :)
