About My Corgi(s):
His name is Gunner. He was born April 11, 2006 and he is just like poppa...he can be quite a spazz but is very well mannered and obedient. He likes to howl and wag his non-existant tail if you get him excited....His playmate of choice- a blue heeler named Rodeo at our local pet store.

    Welcome Ricky and Gunner!

    Welcome to you both. Gunner is certainly handsome...does he have a tatoo like you?

    Welcome the two of you. Beautiful guy. Did you get him around Portland??? I've been looking for a puppy in a very passive way. We live in Corvallis...

    Henry is a dorgi (corgi/dachund cross) and he has aspects of both in his personality. Some days he does his darnest to herd me and others he's going through all the underground culverts looking for rodents. And yes he catches them and shares his catch with his rat terrier brother and mom.

    Hi Ricky! Gunner is such a cute corgi :) I love the last pic with his little hat, hehe. Do you go to the Portland corgi meetups?
  • Brian Davis

    Hey Ricky - Thanks for the friend invite :) Gunner kinds looks like my Brynn in color. Have you ever gone to the Corgi meet -up in Ptown ? It's next Saturday at 10:00 am at a park on 57 th and Halsey . I have gone twice now and it's fun , so many Corgis running around ! You should try to make it . I am still trying to get Brynn to like other dogs .....Lol

    Ah, Portland seems to have a lot more off leash dog parks I noticed than Seattle. I was planning on going to the Normandale meetup and then checking out a couple other offleash parks in the area. I'll most likely see you there with Gunner :) It's hilarious to see so many corgis in one place. They go crazy!

    I actually was contemplating feeding more cooked foods, such as the whole food diet. A lot of the foods you suggest seem to be similar to what's in that diet. I do feel safer feeding more cooked foods, but then there seems to be a health benefit to the raw and I'm sort of torn between which one is better. I think what I might do is go raw in the morning and cooked for dinner :) Yeah, I wasn't too sure about which bones were actually safe to feed since I read about them splintering and doing bad things to the intestinal tract. Maybe I will just hold off on that for now.

    There are always going to be different camps on what type of food is best to feed dogs I'm sure, so it's been difficult figuring out what the best foods are to feed Owen. I definitely would like to reduce the kibble and feed more fresh foods though.
